Hi all, Well i entered my first trials today at Consett - Hownsgill Farm, well I was geared up for it,tagged along with another lad to the first section and thats where it all pear shaped lol. I learnt 2 valuable lessons here, 1, spend more time watching riders ride the section and have the bike positioned correctly lol,I did neither of these and that was that lol OFF !! twisted my left knee so that was my entry at trials, but rather than give up I followed the guys around the course and WATCHED..I managed to get an hour and a half on the bike before my knee give up and I was goosed lol. I will try again tomorrow at Rothbury.... this time watching and learning!!! Prior to…

Ok this week end 29/05/11 is the Barrett help for heroes trial. Run as a traditional type trial using no stop rule at a fantastic venue in the Cotswolds. There will be 2 routes one being nice and easy suitable for complete novice riders and trail bikes, the other being normal Clubman standard with nothing scarey or dangerous just nice none! bouncy sections. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ! you can't all be going away for the weekend , as far as i know we are not clashing dates with any one else locally . The regs have been posted for weeks in tmx and on line. The club is giving all the fees to HELP FOR HEROES .So why if i take my shoes and socks off can i count the entries that …

Just like to say thank you to Robin and his helpers for tonights trial, bit of a rush for me to get to the 5 oclock start, when i finished work at 4.30 but despite the pouring rain it was a cracking venue with sections which were just right for me, (might've been a tad easy for the top guys but thats the way it goes). Can think of a better way to spend a sat evening than a good trial, sausage and chips on the way home then a couple of beers to round it off. Just got to wait and see what the results are. cheers Hoggy (no82)

With the extra bank holiday to celebrate the Royal wedding on Friday 29th April, I was thinking of applying for a permit to put on a little Friday afternoon trial on the Cotswold Hills near Broadway. Ten sections with two routes on each, probably be self observe in the main, but just for a bit of fun. I could tailor it to suit a particular need. Mega hard A route or Begginers Easy route, trail bikes, you could let me know what you want and I'll make it for you. Would anyone be interested, or will you all be watching the big event, glued to your tv screens? Pete

  14. Jon, Chris, Pete and myself went off to Canada Heights today, it is right next to Brands Hatch race track, and kind of tucked in between J3 of the M25 and M20 motorways. Firstly a bit of history copied and pasted. CANADA HEIGHTS The course at Swanley, Kent known as Canada Heights, acquired its name during the 1914-18 War when a large contingent of Canadian troops were camped there on the high ground. It has, however been in regular use for off-road motorcycle sports for many years, and by the Sidcup and District Motorcycle Club since 1948. Over the years, the circuit has hosted many events, from Club level to International status. It drew large crowds and …

Meeting up with Lebowski and others today at Hookwoods in Surrey for a bit of a play. Lebowski mentioned before the place was Championship standard..... looking at the video clip I can see why. Seems there are more tame places to go as well on site, so I guess thats where I will be found Video shows a bit of madness by much more proficient youngsters. More good stuff. Right, here I am again. Had about 90% of this entry done last night at 11.30 when we had a power failure. So here goes again. I nicked Nicola's car to tow the trailer yesterday as she had given me both Friday and Monday off to go out and ride with Lebowski, Steve and Pete. They were camping with …
