I urgently need high resolution digital or scanned photos of riders in the 1970's 80's 90's. I only really need one from each decade but would like a choice. They would ideally be in landscape and show the riders face as well as the bike, sections and ideally a little background. If you can help please PM me and I'll supply a email address. These must be copyright free as they will be used in one of my videos. Cheer John

Can I ask a simple question ? How do you get involved in helping out at the SSDT ? i.e. Observing/Marshalling/general helping out with the event ? Who do you see, speak to, what manner can someone help out etc etc. So many questions

Those of you in Scotland will be only too aware of the Suzanne Pilley murder enquiry that is ongoing at the moment. For those of you who don't know, investigations have led police to Glen Croe and the Rest And Be Thankful on the A83, to the north west of Loch Lomond. They're appealing to any SSDT enthusiasts who may have been in the area on Wednesday 5th May....our route didn't go anywhere near there, but there will have been quite a few folk on the road during the week, so if you were anywhere near that area on the Wednesday, please take a couple of minutes to check out our article on www.ssdt.org. sorry to bother every one but i cant seem to find out when its on the tv? i know it was on on saturday but i missed it, does any body know if its going to be repeated and when and at what time ect.....thanks very much for your time

I was hoping but now that we would have seen a report from Bert regarding his SSDT adventure. I'd love to read what he has to say about his first attempt and if he's going to repeat it. I spoke to him on Thursday and he was enjoying it but I also heard he was shocked by the moor crossing distances.

No not the 2011 routes a bit early for that! This year I toured around the trial with my little friend GPS. It doubled up as a speedo stopwatch and I am sure there was a horn in there some place as well. Well what am I getting at, the device has recorded all the routes for the week and I have just finished downloading them onto Garmin conect where they can then be viewed on google maps and earth. Further to this it gives all my information for each day speeds, altitude etc etc....... the times are a bit vague because I had to start it running during my 30 mins maint. time in the morning. Well, it all started off early with a listen on Nevis radio! Then things got worse!

I tried to say thank you to as many as possible during the week but i'm sure I must have missed a few so I thought I would just post a quick thank you to all the organisers, observers, refuelers, radio presenters, Marshalls and behind the scenes workers for a fantastic week and if you good sort out the weather to be as good next year as it was this year that would be grand (well done slapshot for sorting out this year) thanks alot Allan Milligan Rider No: 66

Monday Dougie's bike could of been fixed in less than thirty seconds had the coil bean changed. Positive lots people report changed coil and it has fixed the problumes they had. Roberto

What a fantastic result for Alexz Wigg. A rider from the south midland centre where there is not a natural rock for 100 miles taking the Scottish. I know the results have still got to be officially confirmed. It also makes my claim to fame of beating him once in a trial sound even better (I don't mention the fact that i was 22 and he was about 8 when I tell this story). Congrats to the rest of the Wigg team as well. Nice pictures of Alexz and Julian at the end. I am sure he is very proud. Day 5 has been rough on Baldilocks, falling back a bit from Becky, and with Emma on his heels! Must make up a few points tomorrow, or he will be a girl sandwich! Looks like Jack is out! Come on Dougie! These kids are just too much! Even Jamie is doing well!

Dougie's comeback ride has obviously been one of many highlights of this year's event, but I was wondering does anybody know what was the problem with Dougie's bike on Monday that caused such a loss of time ? - saw a vid on youtube of him trying to kick it into life, then wheeling it away, Then what happened ? presumably he carries a spare plug, wonder how it was fixed, whatever it was.
