Just wondering how many folks on the TC forum purchased this book and what are thier thoughts on it? I have seen the book and think it is a really brilliant piece of work, thats my humble opinion.

Has any-one got an idea of what bikes and how many retired out of this years ssdt, i'm not talking about rider fatigue its mechanical breakdowns, it would be good to see after such a bad week.

having 'challenged' the official reporting of the p65 its only right that now been in a position to record my 'holiday in the highlands ' this may i should do so. a mere 364 miles after leaving home i pulled into the carpark at 5.30 sunday the parade was over and bikes were under lock and key in the PF. much was as normal althoug there were no vans from the tyre barons, and the army were doing the refuleiing but using 'hired' vehicles for the week ( transit flatbed and ford pickups) up early on monday and perhaps 50 saw the first rider pipped away by a wee lady piper ( who quickly sought the dry and warmth of her car after the first rider had left) fast as legally abl…

I was hoping but now that we would have seen a report from Bert regarding his SSDT adventure. I'd love to read what he has to say about his first attempt and if he's going to repeat it. I spoke to him on Thursday and he was enjoying it but I also heard he was shocked by the moor crossing distances.

It was brought to my attention whilst in Fort William that Tommy passed away during SSDT week. With everything going on I omitted to mention this on Trials Central. Plenty of you will have known Tommy and many of you who have ridden will have crossed swords with him at some point! Tommy was one of those characters that the Scottish is so well known for. Every year he drove up in his Reliant Robin via A and B roads because he wasn't allowed on motorways, but still he made it - even when he was well into his 90's. Are there any Xispas attempting it this year......? If so, how are they getting on ?

I am trying to contact on behalf of the Tailrace Inn three couples who regularly come and watch the ssdt each year. They have booked in for the first week in May when the ssdt would normally start. Their names are:- Keith Sutton, Mr and Mrs Johnstone ans mr Eyre. If anyone knows any of them could you please get them to contact 01855 831777.
