  1. Started by thespikeyone,

I tried to say thank you to as many as possible during the week but i'm sure I must have missed a few so I thought I would just post a quick thank you to all the organisers, observers, refuelers, radio presenters, Marshalls and behind the scenes workers for a fantastic week and if you good sort out the weather to be as good next year as it was this year that would be grand (well done slapshot for sorting out this year) thanks alot Allan Milligan Rider No: 66

Did anyone else notice that, though entered, Vojta Klecka did not apparently ride this year and were they as sad as I to see this. He must have been doing the event as for as long as NIgel Birkett. A pity if the credit crunch has ended a marvellous run.

More than half way done. Speaking of half, here's a shot of the other half of trials. The ladies. You won't find her sitting on the sidelines, no sir. More than half the guys will look up at the board and see their name behind good ole number 27 in the 2007 SSDT program guide. Let's not forget, she's got a pair of family members hovering around the top ten too. Young Girl Sunt is my photo of the day.

  14. Started by Andy,

With the 2010 Scottish literally just days away, I've made a couple of changes to the TC forums. Firstly, I've split the normal SSDT forum out from the General forums and given it it's own category up top and more prominent for the duration of the Trial. Secondly, and this is pretty cool (if you're a geek like me ) you'll notice a seperate forum called "SSDT News Feed". We now have a little software "robot" watching the SSDT website. Whenever the organisers post an update to the SSDT website a new Topic will be created in the SSDT News Feed Forum with a summary of that update and a link that will take you to the full article on the SSDT site. Users will be able to pos…

  17. After five long days of battle incredibly only two marks separate the top three riders, leaving everything set for a tight and tense finale to the 2012 Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT). Dougie Lampkin (Gas Gas) will take a single mark lead into the final day of the event tomorrow as he bids to claim a record-breaking sixth win at this world famous event. His closest challenger James Dabill (Beta) rode himself right back into contention today, as he went clean on a day when his rivals all increased their tallies. Both Lampkin and Dabill have previously tasted the winner's champagne in the Scottish Highlands, the latter having been victorious during last year's centenary SS…

  18. Started by highland lassie,

Leanachan has always been well-known amongst trials riders, and in recent years the fame of the area has spread with the introduction of a variety of world-class downhill and cross-country cycling routes, not to mention the impending arrival of the world trials scene in June 2010. All of this means that there is a lot more traffic on the Forestry Commission tracks around Leanachan these days, which will be particularly noticeable during SSDT week when the first day of the trial falls on the May Day bank holiday Monday. Those of you who rode in last year

  19. Started by highland lassie,

Well, this time next week literally thousands of us will have arrived in Fort William for the start of one of the greatest weeks in the trials calendar. It's incredible to think that it's come round again so quickly! Most of us will spend the best part of this week organising everything that needs to be taken with us, so for those of you riding the trial, read on for some reminders on the things you're not allowed to forget. For those of you just coming along for the show, here's some more about the events taking place throughout the week... Parc Ferme... As usual, the Parc Ferme is based in the West End Car Park on the waterfront in Fort William. If you haven't been …
