Stealing the idea from the other thread. We've talked about a trials bike with a seat for comfort on the loop and trail riding. What about a serious competition machine based on a trials bike used for endouro cross. Something similar to the Montesa with the seat in another thread. Of course it has to be convertable back to a trials only machine. Probably needs a little bigger tank too. The seating position needs to be set up for competition though and not necessarily comfort (maybe height adjustable).

Love him or hate him, Lane "when I was with Arnie..." Leavitt is one of the most controversial characters on the US Trials Circuit. He recently registered for these forums, and although I've nothing at all against the guy, am aware of his past abilities to upset people. However, rather than just reject his efforts to be part of the Trials Central community, I took a straw poll today. The results were overwhelmingly in favour of allowing him to stir things up as only he can! Ladies and Gentlemen - live from Hollywood (as if you didn't already know!) - The Beav Returns!

Reading some of the replies to the US national dates story on the front page. Firstly Craig, just posted next years dates he didn't arrange them, so a topic on this forum would be a better place to voice your opinions. Very few events, mostly east side of the country, no events in school vacation, events held on back to back weekends are some of the comments posted. To be fair to the NATC they can't organize a friendly series if no clubs volunteer to host events, also those that have volunteered like Arizona, can only do events at certain times of the year. I think the questions should be why are clubs no longer wanting to host events, I have done many and to tell th…

Just wondering if any of you that were there could help with a little info? Even though the people that were there from our club were not chosen by the club, they decided to represent us against our wishes. A vote was taken prior to the meeting over doing a national and was decided no nationl for this season. Well, somehow we are now on the schedual. The 2 from our club that were there insist they were pressured at the meeting to do so even after explaining that our club had voted against a national. Just looking for some outside views from anyone that was there. Thank You...

I'm making a strong effort to bring WOTA's web site back from the dead. The webmaster (ie 'me') kind of lost interest for awhile. Well he's back and committed to improvements. First improvement: a WOTA specific forum. All riders are welcome, but obviously the focus is on the lovely upper midwest. No doorway into it yet from the front page, but that should be fixed by next week.. http://www.wisconsintrials.org/phpbb/ -- Regards, Bentley Wolfe Senior Escalation Engineer, Flash Macromedia Webmaster: http://www.widualsportriders.org/ http://www.madisonmotorcycleclub.org/ http://www.wisconsintrials.org/

One of my friends at a trial showed me a big packet he got. It looked like an EPA/DEM enviro govt agency letter stating that he had been destroying the enviroment and such, and listed a bunch of other crap offenses. It stated they had satillites, air photos, and other evidnce to support these accusations. It looked like an official document and sounded like he would have to stop riding trials in his yard. A few more pages of govt stuff then on the back it has a big ole full page ad for a new 4T Monty!(enviro friendly....) Was all a big ad joke, rather funny, but those first few pages would scare the crap outta me. Anyone else heard of this?

U.S. National Riders: You still have time to fill out and send back the 2005 Rider poll. 1997 was last time we had a 50% turn out, 2004 we had a poor 35% return. I have received 74 forms returned so far. (about 31%) Even if you rode only a few Nationals your feed back is wanted, take a few minutes and fill it out, and of cource mail it. Comments will be read by the Delegates at the NATC Meeting. Thank You Jim Watson NATC Rider Poll. ps. I want to apoligise to the Canadian riders for not putting the right postage on the S.A.S.E. ( I was at the post office mailing them when I realized it would not work) I will do something different next year.

Recently at the Baraboo trial in Wisconsin, 2 riders had scorecards with the same number of 0's 1's 2's 3's and 5's NATC rules say the next tiebreaker is farthest cleans which to me is a little vague. The first loop card of rider #1 was 1,0,0,0,0,0,1 The first loop card of rider #2 was 1,0,0,0,0,1,1 We gave rider #1 the winning place, based on his clean in the 6th section which is the farthest, but I wanted to verify this. Thanks.

We just walked in the door from our trip to North Carolina and Tennessee and were very surprised to find not one thing about our guys winning the International Class at the TDN - well not just merely winning, but dominating the competition by almost a 100 points! Well done Chris, Geoff, Cody and Keith. We are very proud of all of you and are very happy you are coming home with the "Gold"! Congratulations to the women who also represented the US: Louise Forsley, Nicole Bradford and Sarah Duke. I'm sure this will always be one of those experiences that will be treasured for the rest of your lives.

Hey Folks: Anyone have footage of kids riding trials that they would be willing to share? We've looked at the pics of the youth nats and I've got pro videos but would like my 10 year old son to see some kids in action. I'm hoping to get more than just highlights, but don't know what might be out there. I'd be willing to provide reasonable compensation to cover mailing costs, effort, etc. Thank you, Brent Mullen
