Has anyone got any results from the European Youth/Ladies trial in Hobol this weekend?

Hi, does any one know where i can find a entry form for the iow national and/or if a standard ACU form is ok? thanks

A big well done to Abergavenny for another brilliant National. The A and B sections had been eased but were tough,(just as it should be). I think we must have been the only place not to get the rain which made for a great weekend.

Results are posted at www.abergavennyautoclub.co.uk/ A very competitive Class C saw Jack Stones just edge out Luke Walker, Iwan Roberts and Rob Waite. Jack Burch was well placed until lap 3 when he picked up two 5s due to engine problems. He managed to make repairs and fought back to 5th. In Class D the Peace lads cleaned up, Dan taking MW from Michael Todd and Jack, SW from Aldis Blacker.

Due to the heavy rain making the car park impossible to use, the Stratford-Upon-Avon Club trial will now be at Saintbury Quarry and not Top Farm as advertised. Saintbury Quarry is just three miles from the original venue and will be signposted from the A44 at the top of Fish Hill near Broadway. Sorry for the inconvenience, please pass the word around. Pete

Just bought my lad an unused 2005 Gasgas Boy TXT 50 (with the later 2006 trouble free generator/engine fitted). He has had a year racing a KTM 50 Auto but now wants a go at trials riding. Having a manual, yet automatic clutch confuses me! And riding it slow seems to require continual opening and shutting the throttle to move forward. And is the clutch lever simply for lifting the front wheel when the revs are up and the centrifugal clutch already engaged? Can anyone with good experience of this bike suggest the best way of riding it, or/and and modifications that are worthwhile making? Any help at all would be very much apreciated. The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding a round of the Homemaster Removals Midland Centre Youth Championship at Top Farm near Snowshill on Sunday 24th June. There will be four routes available to cater for all levels of ability and Youth A,B,C&D. The championship will be incorporated inthe clubs regular Dennis Bridges Summer trial, so is open to all riders not just youth, the entries are accepted on the day. Im not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question but here goes, How young can you be to ride a 250cc Trials bike within the ACU rules, If a 16/17 year old enters as a Youth 'A' he / She must ride a 125cc, However the rule book Page 157 at the bottom of the page states : "RIDERS AGE a) Adult riders : A Rider must be at least 16 years of age to participate as an Adult." So in effect a 16 year old as long as he enters as a "Novice" for example can ride a 250cc. Can anyone clear this up. Cheers, Vaughan.

Just been talking to the team out in Morella Spain for the first round of the Euro Youth Champs. Since they arrived on Thursday it has been virtually none stop TORRENTIAL RAIN! The start and paddock are by a river, with half the event the other side of the river, the river is now impassable so half the course has been lost, and the Civil Police have now arrived, and the whole Paddock and all its inhabitants, have to be moved to higher ground due to the risk of the river bursting it banks and flooding the Paddock!!!! The course has now had to be re-done with only five of the original sections remaining. So far a complete disaster for the organisers, who are tearing the…

I keep checking the ACU listing but the Abergavenny trial still has no details. Anybody from the club on here know when they will be posted??

Well those of us with A & B Class riders will be heading down to Devon this weekend. NYL and myself will be in amongest the "B" class entrants. The course is numbered differently this year which will probably help when getting to the "Gulley" sections but many will be aware of the "stoppers". Josh Maude in "B" class and Jon Chambers in "A" are missing but the main runners will be there. The organisation will be better as well. Cheadle left a lot to be desired after our "home" YG round. I know That Dob Park has permanent buildings but trying to find out what was going on in a "tesco" tent was not what I expect from a British National. Neither was the total lack of a Po…
