I rode in the Cotswolds Cups yesterday the 1st round of the 2014 Sammy Miller Champions, who was there himself on a BSA. The going was slippery to say the least but a good day out. Who else was there, are there any pictures?

I am doing research into the Cotton Mickmar project and am looking for a photo of the bike. I have this newspaper article with a of Eric Lee holding the frame he built for the Mickmar engine. I have been in touch with Michael Martin who made the engine and John Close who rode the bike for a season for the Cotton factory and they have no photos of the bike either. Any help would be much appreciated

Hello all, I recently bought a Royal Enfield Crusader 250 which I am going to make a trials bike of. Mechanical stuff I am fine with but am a complete dunce when it comes to electrics. What I want to do is convert the electrical system so that the engine provides its` own sparks. There are 3 wires coming from the back of the engine that originate at the alternator, can any of you please tell me how to wire things things up so that a battery is not needed. I have the rectifier but no clue as to where to start or what to do. Any help would be great.

  12. Started by cub200,

A few years ago I bought a couple of brand new oval alloy barrels from a supplier who shall be nameless in the UK and fitted one to my trials Cub. After about two events it had smoke and oil spewing out all over the place and required stripping. I found that the liner had spun in the barrel which misaligned the oil drainage holes resulting in the problems I experienced. I tried contacting the supplier who ignored me completely and I would add that the supplier wasn't UPB, AWR or Armac, but he is well known around the UK. Can anyone tell me if this problem was rampant or was I just unlucky getting a couple from a bad batch, I have always been afraid to use the ot…

Hi, Decided to replace the leaking fork seals on my Trials cub TR20 which has heavyweight forks with internal. Everything was stripped down but when it came to trying to get the seals out of the fork seal holders I was stumped. Can anyone tell me how they actually come apart to replace the seal as they do not seem to pull or screw apart. Regards Ken

Hello, calling on all the people out there with a wealth of information and knowledge on cubs. I am hoping to find out which bike the forks I have, have came form so I can match a brake back plate to it. I am making a 1963 trials cub out of a standard T20, I have recently bought a set of heavyweight forks and yokes which are internal spring, as the T20SS and SH had of that year had - seemed best suited. So the problem is that the bottom members in the parts list say it should be p/n's H1117 and H1118 but he p/n's I have on the fork legs are H1119 and H1120. I have been through all the part manuals I can find for all bikes made by triumph from 58-64 and they only show …

Hi All, A friend of mine owns a 1958 tiger cub converted for Trials and my question is how important is it that the wheels are central to the frame and wheels in line as to centre? There is very little clearance for the chain as regards the rear tyre. He is a little obsessed to get the wheels central and in line and has started to cut and weld (bodge)the frame. I think he is slowly destroying the bike. The swingarm has been widened a long time ago and the engine was over in the frame as far as it would practically go but the wheel rim was off centre so as to clear the chain. I suspect they mostly all suffer this problem. Is there A way to get this right without cutting and…
