Hi fellow Fantic fans. I have a Fantic 200 (fm350) and wanted to know how to set the Delourto phb25 carb up right. When people talk about the idle screw being turned out 2 3/4 times are they reffering to the big Idle screw, or the fuel screw next to it. If so what is the best setting for the fuel screw. Also the needle being on the 3rd notch, is that the 3rd notch from the top or the bottom of the needle.

Just bought a Fantic 303 that needs a new front tyre; tyre fitted is a tubeless Michelin, are tubeless front trials tyres still available or will I need to have the rim replaced to accept a tubed tyre ? All advice greatly appreciated.

Just been reading an excellent article on the Mid Atlantic Vintage Trials club web site concerning an AJS project using one of Sammy's fibreglass fuel tanks. The addition of 10% ethanol into petrol in Maryland USA has caused his tank to dissolve, leak and clog the fuel line and carb. Anyone else had this problem? Apparently some fuels here in the UK (Tesco for one) have had 5% ethanol for some time. Several other projects of interest on the web site too.

I just started competing in observed trials this year. Although the word "compete" is a bit of a stretch for my feeble skills. My bike is a Bultaco Model 98 Alpina with a Sherpa T slimline tank/seat, aka the Sherpina. I've ridden a total of three trials so far. The first two events were modern trials. At the first one, the sections were way over my head and I had a solid lock on last place when my kick-start lever fell apart resulting in a DNF. At the second, the sections were much easier and I did a little better despite having issues with a clogged fuel tap. Even beat a couple of modern bikes. Those guy must really suck! In August my club, CATRA, held a Vintage…

I am looking for advise on the best way to go about fitting tubeless rims to a Ossa 250 Mar and a TR-80 Gripper. Anyone out there that has done this, which rim did you use? The Mar has parallel hub and the Gripper doesn't, both 36 spoke. I read a post were the poster had trouble fitting a new MORAD and had to fit a used one. Any help appreciated. Alistair

I have just bought my first trials bike and it's a Bantam. I wondered if anyone could help identify the forks it has fitted? It has billet yokes and the forks look a bit like the REH ones - except they have a bracket for the hub stay(?) and have an external nut on the spindle rather than the internal type thing on the REH ones. Any pointers more than welcome! Anyone recognise them?

Hi, I have recently rebuilt my montesa forks which are fitted to a Francis Barnett for trials, everything seemed fine when i rebuilt the forks with new oil seals. The problem is one minute they are fine, compressing and returning in a smooth fashion then for no apparent reason they will only compress about half way with no return, I have studied the assembly drawing time and time again and I cannot understand what the problem is. Anyone any ideas? Nige
