Bath's fun trial tomorrow,(Sat 31st July) has had a change of venue which was at first set right in TMX.Unfortunately it has been inserted again at the old venue. To set things straight,(As much as I can ! ) all I can do is tell you that the venue is Fairy Hill,Compton Dando. BS39 4LJ. The start time is 2.30pm,there are two routes, and the sections will be biased towards older bikes.Should be a good day out,a catering van will be onsite.

This trial is going ahead all being well, there seems to be some rumour circulating that it was cancelled but this is not so. There was a worry about the low number of entries but the minimum viable number was passed a while ago. See calendar on here for details and entry form

So if you want a ride on Saturday, or Sunday, or both, so you can enjoy the evenings entertainment, You Need To Send Your Entries off NOW. If you have a bike lurking in the shed get it out, dust it over and bring it along, you can ride it or put it into one of the show classes. it's YOUR decision. PS Don't forget that there is a

Hi, Sixpencer Trophy 2011 (Gothenburg Sweden) was a nice event, 82 riders Pre-65 and TS (9 in grey bird class separate weekend). Very few DNF as I understand. In total 91 riders from Scandinavia and NorthEU... Competition, ForFun set up as I see it, classes rigid: grey bird, pre-unit, unit, 2-t...., groups of ~10 riders, we observed each other.. Leif from Denmark in our group is rider/photografer. Please do find his link here: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/48767867/1/Sixpencer%202011?h=597062 Cheers,

Hello Im new to trials bikes and trials riding but full of enthusiasm for the classic bikes,im in the midst of restoring a Montesa Cota 200 M29 which im really enjoying,it will not be a concours winner but a tidy example that i will not be too scared of using. I have just spent a enjoyable hour looking at the pictures from the Telford show (thanks for sharing them) i did not realise there was such an event so definetley on my list of things to do next year. Never heard of the Merlin in the pictures, anyone care to enlighten me on there history. As for my bike what where they like back in there time i:e competetive, rubbish anyone have much success with them? Well im of…

I am intending to build a Bantam trials bike from bits which are beyond any hope of restoration for road use. I have a frame and swinging arm already. Any tips would be appreciated but most importantly, what frame mods are essential. and which are advisory. Also, what are the options for front forks? I am no purist so all suggestions are welcome. I have heard that some Yamaha ones would fit, and more common than say, C15 ones, but am throwing myself at your mercy to advise.

I know with petrol prices being as they are that the travel budget is strained but if you ride pre65 or a twin shocker here are two dates which may be off interest. The first weekend of August (2nd/3rd) sees the German Championships move to Engelsberg, which is close to Munich. Free camping etc etc. One week later, there are two trials which count to the Eurocup in Salzstiegl in Austria. I iknow George Greenland and Joe Howells have ridden both in the past and really liked it. Contact me via a pm for the regs of either lee
