Hi, my fuel line filter on my Beta Evo 2t 2011 has broken and I don’t know whether to get a 6mm or 8mm replacement? Also been advised to go for a metal replacement rather than the plastic? Cheers 👍🏻

That is what the manual says, 1.5% which I think is about 66 to1. That seems awfully thin to me. On my previous 2 strokes (MX race bikes) around 40 to 1 was what I ran. The oil I have left from those days (Silkolene and Putoline) both have mix guides which stop at 50 to 1, so diluting them further seems risky. So, is my old oil (guessing about fifteen years old) better thrown away and replaced with something newer? Does a lower reving trials bike want thinner mixtures than a race engine? Are there special 2t oils designed for trials type riding that would be better than my race oils? Should I uuse my old oil, but at 50 to 1? …

  3. Hi just bought my daughter a 06 mini trial and as I’ve now found out I have the old problem of reving high on idle etc , then dying out when idle screw adjusted down , I’ve seen a few posts from years ago but did anyone ever find out a good way to sort this out ? , also pulled clutch cover off and found a clutch totally different to what I see online for the mini trial (as per picture ) ….. do I fit a new carb or buy a new clutch?

I have a bought a beta rev 3 2000 model in bits. It’s missing the stator mounting plate that fixes the coils to the crank case. Due to its ages I’m struggling to source one. If I sources a 2004-2008 complete electrics would it work ?

Has anyone found a good colour match or paint code for the Beta frames in white? It may be that Beta used powder coat originally but I'd like to touch up repair some paint damage? Beta uk don't have any 2021 frame tank decals in stock which I'd also like. Thanks

My sons and I have Just bought our first bike 2021 EVO 125 and as soon as we put her in gear after starting it, it shot off when the clutch was supposed to be disengaged? Have we bought a dud with a knackered clutch?? I had a read of the Clutch Thread below but not sure if this is a fault or if it can be adjusted before full strip down?? When warmer it got a bit better but still felt to drag a little?

Hi Beta riders! Is there any good alternative for Beta 80' jr and sr silencer? Like 2010 onward (maybe even earlier models) Original is just piece of useless metal. Mounting will tear or break even on moderate use (I haven't seen a single unit which is not welded or fixed otherwise). It will immediately start scraping to tire. And in general quite loud, I'd prefer something more quiet. Have you had a chance to replace it with something better?

New to me, beautiful restored bike. I need help checking the timing. TDC then counterclockwise until piston drops 3mm??? Stick something round through the fly wheel into the hole stator??? I believe it has all new rev3 ignition. It has an intermittent knock like detonation. I know it could be lots of things, but this is the easiest to check. Any better kick starters??? Its short and I need to get my girl to be able to kick it over. I have 50 years wrenching on everything. Thanks Jon

Greetings from Texas! I just bought a 2017 Evo 2T 300. (Sold my last trials bike in 1985, a TY250). Learning to ride trials all over again! My question is my bike has a functioning "headlight" but the tail light has no wiring harness or anything under the red tail light lens. I'm wondering whether the previous owner removed it or whether it never was hooked up from the factory. Anyone know? Thanks, Roger

We had our first day out with our bike ( 2021) and my son's are just learning how to use a clutch so they were running around in first gear mainly. One fell off and the other one stalled the engine a few times. The problem we had was the bike often would not start again after it stopped. Have I got a faulty bike as we got very frustrated after spending ages kicking it over to no avail. My first thought was flooding with a 2T but why after it was running ok? We ended up giving up and coming home early sadly. Very frustrated with it.

Hi there I snapped the tip off my Evo gear lever. Couldn't find the spring amongst the leaves. Tried an as3 gear tip but it doesn't fit the OEM lever. 2020. oem lever isn't compatible in how the spring fits the lever. The nub of the gear lever is solid. As3 do do a complete lever which is cheaper to buy than the OEM, apico and jitsie versions and looks more solid too. However their advert says it only fits evo's up to 2019. I wasn't aware the splines on the gear selector are different are they ? Is there any other reason? I think it's a mistake as the jitsie versions and apico say they fit all year evo's. Any idea?

Has anyone else had issues with their throttle cable sticking? I suspect it to be the cause of the following incident: After a ride and wash, I started my 2022 Evo 300 2T (10h total time) to dry it off and lube the chain. When I started it, it went to full rpm and stayed there. Kill switch didn’t want to stop it (maybe I didn’t keep it pressed long enough but it seemed to me, in that moment of panic, that it had no effect). I pulled the spark plug lead off. That obviously worked (after a nice few jolting shocks rattled my arm). I recall Danny Butler mentioning in one of his YouTube videos (Trial Tube), the potential for Evo throttle cables to get snagged by the bar p…

Morning guys getting round to refurbing my 1998 Beta Techno which since it is rarely used has been a bit ignored in the frame department. Could anyone tell me what the part codes are for the linkage bearings? Got a ridiculous amount of slack there Or is it a case of just getting direct from Beta and paying up 😅 also the rear brake is non-existent, tried bleeding and doesn’t seem to hold pressure for any length of time so think it is due a master cylinder…if anyone has one or can direct me towards one that would be good, if not it’ll also be a Beta job ££££££ thanks!

I am new owner of a 1993 Beta Trials bike and trying to figure out some things on it. Previous owner didn't know much about it and never even added gas - he was just flipping the bike. I'm not even sure what model bike it is - it shows Tipo B6 and OL9401 on the tag, no headlight, white rear fender, orange front fender and around a 250cc according to the seller. I found the 1991 manual online that one shows a 2% fuel mixture - which I assume to mean 50:1? But, most of these forums say to run 70 or 80:1, with a higher octane fuel (around 100 octane if I can get it). Most of those threads are referring to newer bikes. If I'm using Lucas Semi-synthetic 2 stroke oil (si…

  18. OK so I got to thinking again. Dangerous I know but I'm bored with circuit theory at the moment so I figured I'd try to understand what the big whoop is with a diaphragm clutch since I haven't seen anyone explain the difference. This is my take on it. Feel free to shoot it full of holes and call me an idiot. The diaphragm clutch.pdf
