the rear brake on my '95 techno 250 has been gettin worse for a while an has just stopped workin. the previous owner has cross threaded the bleed nipple but it isnt leaking. there is some pressure in the system but not as much as there used to be. any help is welcome becouse i need some thing to do while i wait for my water pump seal to arrive.

Hi i just bought a 99 Beta Techno(my first trials bike), it runs ok but has been sat around for a while so i thought i'd change the oil, clean the filter, spark plug etc etc. I know a bit about 4 stroke engines, but i've never owned a 2 stroke engined bike before and never got a manual with the bike. I've looked through all the threads on the Beta forum and have found some really helpfull information. However, i'm a little confused. Is there a difference between engine oil and gear oil? I bought a litre of Castrol TTS, undid the allen key bolt on the left hand side of the engine and poured in 550ml. Is this the right oil and have i put it in the right place? Thanks

Hi. Got a problem with the valve in my Evo fuel cap and it would help if I could dismantle it to sort out the problem. Has anyone ever pulled one apart eg removed plastic housing that holds the valve. Don’t want to go forcing it loose and end up knackering it.

Being new to trials can anyone tell me the main differences between the techno and the Rev 3, opinions on which is best etc? Beta seem to be good value and reliable from what I can gather. When I get my Pinky rebuilt and some practise in I fancy getting a modern bike and am drawn toward the Beta's.Would be looking to spend a grand, probably have to sell Pinky as space and funds won't allow both! Not in any rush to buy so if you can give me some pointers and things to look for I can have a look around.

hi does any body know were the mian needell in the carb should be set at mine is on the top slot but the plug is black and has deposits on it its a dellorto carb just had stator done running ok but now and then the plug goes put new one in and shes working well again any help please also whats the standard setting for the air screw cheers

Hi guys, I'm still quite new to this trialing and find that I am forever missing the back brake pedal Is there a replacement for the lever that is longer that the standard one. So I will be able to brake without going over the handlebars !!(Can only use the front one) Lol. p.s. Am i the only one who has this problem? Cheers

Just bought a 05 rev3 250 and the graphics on the tank are a bit shabby were can i get the original beta stickers from for the tank?

anyone know what it is? and whats the top speed?

Hello, This is my first post on here Bought this bike as a first trials bike, got it home everything seemed ok. Next day, give the bike a good clean up. Strip and clean the carb start greasing the bearings etc. I then notice there is no gearbox oil showing in the sightglass. I had some spare so I thought I would drop the old stuff out and put in some fresh oil. Ok, hardly anything came out, just a couple of drips. Filled it with the recommended amount and can see no leaks. Start the bike and it's now seriously smokey Mixed the fuel at 1.5% as the manual said. I suspect the crank seal on the oil side is leaking so has anyone put new seals in their beta and …

Hi guys, I'm from Germany, so please my english is not so perfect. Please excuse me for that. I have a Rev 4T 300 Racing. The engine feels powerful, when I give throttle is all fine. My problem is when I want to stay or to move very slow with the Beta. The engine is running with idling mixture. When I give then 1 time a little bit throttle it goes back to idling mixture, all is fine. When I do this 3 times the engine runs down to idling mixture and then I get a "plopp" and the engine stopped. Is it possible that the idling jet is too small? Or can I change something with the air/petrol screw? Any ideas? Thanks and best regards from Thomas

Out today in a club event - 1st lap - 2nd section - fan decides it's had enough - in the last 10 weeks that's 2 stators, one water pump casing and now the fan - last 4 events have seen one win and three dnf's. Now looking at getting a new bike this week - either a gas gas or a sherco. Sorry but when the beta went - it was superb but it's not knowing if it's going to last. Thanks to all who have helped and advised me on this forum but it's off to pastures new now.

Ok guys i need your help here. Im beginning to look for a new beta here in the states to start riding. My Techno is a great bike in all but im really beginning to notice that my riding ability is really beginning to outweigh the age and weight of the motorcycle. Members in my club even tell me that once i get onto a more modern lighter bike that i will really be on my way to doing well. I am also agreeing with them more and more. Ideally i want to go to the new EVO however budget just will not allow that to happen at all. So i need to look at the rev years. I have had problems with my Beta finding nutral once it has been running for a while a friend of mine said that this is a common problem with most Betas is this true or not? and can this be fixed easly?

In trying to hunt down a misfire in my 2008 Rev 4T, I pulled the stator and trigger coil out. Gee look what I found. The PO must have rode it hard and put it away wet! Looks like its out of a 30 year old bike that has been sitting outside on the Scottish Coast all its life.

On my 2008 Rev 4T - the rear brake pedal is too high. I find I ride the rear brake too much and want to lower it. I looked at the pedal and it looks like it really cannot be adjusted. Anyone have the same issue? Did you make a change? What did you do? thanks

Hi I´m a new member and i have som issues with the rear shock of a Beta EVO 2010. It bottoms out real easy, just small hopps in the garage makes the rear shock hit the rubberthing for bottom out damping. I believe the spring is the original (but not sure) and I have preloaded it to the max. I weigh only about 65kg and it still bottoms out from just small hopps. If I understand it correctly the setting screw on the rear shock controls the rebound damping so the setting of this should not affect the bottoming out. Either way, I have tried this at both max and min, it doesn´t matter, I bottom it out real easy anyways. Today I took the shock out and the spring off. I can…

Hi all just after some advise I have a 2012 beta factory and since having it front end never felt right, had other evos and not had the problem have noticed when your going down hill it's like have no control of the front end when breaking like the front is all over the place feels like front end easily washes away and sometimes feels like front end is tucking under, had betas for a long time now has anyone else had issues ?? I have put a Ohlins on the back because the back suspension as standard wasn't to good just really don't know what's up with front
