Hi All Just registered here as I have a problem with my 2002 rev 3 forks. I have changed the oil exactly as the manual describes but the forks are rock solid. Could any body advise me of a walk through guide because the manual is really basic. I do have decent mechanical skills but more with cars and this is my first trails bike so I think I might have done something a little wrong. Chris

Hi all, Looking for a bit of info the shock and serviceability of it. I have an Evo Factory from 2017 (250). Its not had anything done to the shock in a while. How serviceable are these units? Maybe I am remembering wrongly but I seem to remember reading once upon a time that they are not very serviceable. I know a lot say its not worth upgrading the standard shock if you're not a top flight rider but what would you recommend - investing in a full service or replacing with something aftermarket? For reference, I am far from top flight - definite Sunday wobbler. Thanks all.

Hello; I`ve decided to try bleeding the brakes on my Techno using the syringe method. Do I need to remove the check ball which is under the bleeder screw to do this? If so, can I leave it out after bleeding the brakes? Thanks for your help

Any top tips for an easy fit and keeping them stuck in place? Usually fit them warm to dry bars with some type of grip glue them wire tie them. Usually they work slightly loose after a while, perhaps i am just wringing them too hard as i try to stay on. Just wondering what methods others out there have had sucess with. This particular pair i am about to fit are pro-grips. cheers

Hi everybody, looking for some words of wisdom if you can help me out, please. I have a 2010 EVO which is refusing to start. I took it out a couple of weeks ago and it ran without any problem. Washed it off, sprayed it with some WD40 and put it away. It now won't start. There is no spark at the plug or from the HT lead with the cap removed. I've checked over the ignition system and found some spurious voltage readings to the coil. The stator coils are within their resistance ranges and there is a reading of up to about 20V from the ignition side when spun over on the kickstart (measured at the CDI connector). The pick up coil is also within specified range. The HT ca…

Whilst my stator is away for a little tlc with motoplat I'm going to go over the bike to prevent other 'known' issues, I havn't got a problem with the water pump housing, no leaks etc, but after having drained the coolant it didn't look like coolant i've ever seen before I will be flushing the system and using putoline NF has anyone else tried it?? Says its 'magnesium friendly'! cheers

I have a 07 rev3 and the only thing I havent relubed since I got the bike is the rear suspension. Currently I have the swinging arm off and know what to do there but what do I do with the shock? Does the shock have roller bearings top and bottom? Can the inner bearing bushes be drifted out like on the swinging arm? I tried to drift them but they would not shift......? Any trix?

All, I'm looking for a little advice on my Beta 290 evo 2010. Was out yesterday for a few hours and the bike started to whine a little, normally on over run / shut throttle. It gets worse the warmer the bike gets. The bike however is still free revving. and has plenty of compression etc. The only thing I can think off was running down hill on a closed throttle prior to the noise. Water pump is showing signs of wear but however is a little slack on the shaft. I see there is a higher flow pump option which I may well fit. Are there any thoughts on the possible cause.?? Has it been a known issue. Also where is the best place to get va…

Hi, new member here, was hoping someone could help with telling me anything about this beta I've managed to pick up. It looks mostly complete, no spark present, have checked the kill switch, but still no spark. I does say on the tank cover that its a dougie lampkin replica. Anyone able to tell me the year, so I can start sourcing parts etc Any help would be appreciated. Brian some pics

Evening all I have started to delve into the recently acquired 96 Techno's wiring in order to fit the correct fan and thermostat, and to also fit a kill switch as my lad needs the added safety should he become unattached( and me as its been a while). So I have trawled looking for a decent wiring diagram, only finding a fuzzy version that you cannot read the colour codes. I have now courtesy of BVM Moto got a clearer version, but I am still at a bit of a loss. I will attach the diagram, along with my own version of what I have on the bike. Although I have removed the fan that was fitted with a live feed, and earthed as a negative. My question to you m…
