Just received my 3 handbooks today with the cover price of

I have mentioned this in another topic, but felt it may be worth asking the question. Years ago the ACU offered annual motorcycle insurance that covered usage on the road during a trial but was discontinued. Not sure why. With clubs now having to offer additional RTA cover at a fee could it not be worth the ACU starting up the insurance cover again?

A big thank you to the ACU and both Pippa Laverty and Simon Welch for organising this. The first event was at Keypitts in Ilfracombe and my OH was very keen to go. It proved to be a very good weekend. Everyone was delighted that one of the trainers was Billy Green, who turned out to be a really nice bloke and a mega bonus for all the riders. It is also a great venue - I wish they would look at pay and play - I would love to ride there. If anyone is thinking of going to the other events I can tell you it is great and well worth the effort. There were a lot of youngsters at the Ilfracombe event and it was fantastic to see so much youth talent coming into our sport…

Hi. I've recently taken up trials along with my 15 year old son. He fancies a beginner competition - I'm not so sure. We are memebers of a club so - can we just turn up, sign and pay? Or do we need an ACU licence? Any help would be great Chris

Mine doesn't have a photo on as I did it online and it didn't ask for one does it matter and how can I get a photo on it when I renew it

Great explanation of how things work at the ACU John, enlightend me for one. Can you give a run down of what happens to all the tenners that go into the kitty via the licence and how the money is distributed back into the sport and what for.

So it seems that the ACU have decided to change the rules in 22A and a stop is now allowed without penalty (thats how I read it anyway), The only stipulation now is "No backward movement". What is the general view of this change. Personally I would have preferred it before the change. I am now trying to workout the difference between 22A & 22B.

The new online licence or trials registration system is now available from the ACU. When you join a club, the Membership Secretary will give you a unique number to prove that you have joined a club. Go online HERE and you can bring up your details using your licence number. Check and amend as necessary your personal information and put your unique number in the space provided. Pay by debit card and your licence will automatically be updated and you will be instantly emailed to confirm the payment recieved. Riders joining the our club will find their unique number next to their name on their 2012 club membership card. Brilliant! Completed mine in less than two minute…

Hi there, i'm rather confused with the acu licence form, what boxes do i need to tick for trials registration, i was a member about 2 years back, and now just getting back into trials and i remember it was about 30 pounds, has it gone up? Much Appriciated Reguards Richard

What a pleasant suprise to find the new look ACU SportMoto magazine waiting in the letter box today. The new size and the superbly written articles combine to make a magazine that really is worth having. I have to admit that I was not a fan of the old magazine and considered it to be a waste of licence/affiliation payers money, but this is good. Well done ACU. In Feb 2005 i attended a one day ACU coaching course in Devon at my own expence, the course had nothing to do with how you rode a trials bike but more of the H.S.A, child protection, and legal side of things which was all very intresting. Next i get a little book in the post which requires that you spend 25hrs with an experianced trainer and then i can apply to become a ACU coach, now if i lived in yorkshire fine, but as i don't think there are any ACU coaches in the Southern centre, let alone on the IOW i'am a bit stuffed. Entered a trial via the ACU portal. Now, at least a week later it says that my entry is not valid, due to my not having a rider number. Never been asked for this before. Spent ages on the website, trying to discover how to do this, but with no luck. Anyone know how to do this?

John Dickinson wrote in TMX that there was no interest in the ACU Trials Forum because people believe that the ACU Trials and Enduro Committee don't take any notice of what is said at these forums and just do what they want. I believe that nobody wanted to come to the forum because the vast majority of you are happy with the sport we help to promote. It was also sugested that we could hold the forum over the Tials Central web site rather than make everybody travel to Rugby. The ACU are having an open trials forum to allow riders or clubs to discuss any issues which they might have. Excluding British Solo and Youth Championships, (which have their own seperate forum), any topic can be put forward. Personally I am interested in the whole issue of Risk Assessments, but I'm sure that there are many more points that could be covered at this forum. Any suggestions? Pete

The fact that the ACU Trials Forum is cancelled through lack of attendance is more than a little disappointing

According to the ACU's news release - "The ACU will again be offering new and existing members of the ACU the opportunity to renew their licences Online in readiness for the 2013 season. This is the second year this service has been offered at the Show following its inaugural success last year." Last year at least two of our club members got their Trials Registrations at the show and subsequently didn't join the club. During 2012, the new online system has worked really well (for our club), however the ACU issuing 2013 licences (Trials Registrations) at the show undermines the unique code system that we are trying to adopt. As a club secretary I'm trying to do the annual download of unique ACU codes so that members can re-affiliate. 2019 codes now appear to be available when I log on - I'm given the option to download either excel or csv, but when I click on either option I'm met with a blank screen and no download. Anyone else having similar problems?

The ACU have updated the website, however on the old one you could see the upto date Trials Championship tables i.e. BTC, Novagar, Traditional etc. I can no longer find them, nor the list of rounds. Is it me? Anyone point me in the right direction.
