Not been on here for a while and decided to check out the stolen bike thread, as I thought that trials bikes wouldn't be stolen as often as the MX and enduro bikes...but I'm wrong! It seems that the police seem to getting a real bad press on here too as regards their reaction to a stolen bike....I have been there too when I had my enduro bike stolen. Some of the conversations I had with the police after I found out whom stole my bike, where it was being kept, were so laughable, to the point of being just unbelieveable.... " I have just seen my stolen bike"... "ooh, right thank you sir, we will get someone there this afternoon, goodbye sir" "ermm...don't you want to …

I received a phone call of a mate of mine on Thursday morning someone tried to have his bike away on Wednesday 17th. He lives in Igleby Barwick (thornaby) they smashed his van window and pushed his van forward to tackle his garage door once they managed to get through the lock on the door the house alarm went off so they left. Both were on the same system luckily. When he rang the police and they eventually turned up they commented on the this was the forth one tonight... and they think its a group from hemlington.. So just a word of warning to the local riders of Middlesbrough / Stockton area.

I know its not a trials bike but i'm sure many of you ride other bikes too. Link is here: http://www.twoc.co.uk/view_rec.htm?id=405 Its a gsx-r750 streetfighter that he built himself and some scum has nicked it. Expect to see cheap parts at bike meets etc. Any help would be appreciated and there is a reward!!!

The chassis number is : VTDMT03A04E320948 The engine number is : NN3E851983 The thinking is that the ****bags were quite organised and knew what they were doing. Hi Stolen sometime during the night of 1st/2nd August. There can't be that many of these old crossers around. It was set up as an enduro when it was stolen and had a Q plate on it. I have a frame number if needed. It has a few identifying features. It has the bore and stroke scratched onto the cylinder from when I got it re-bored. Also it has a swing arm from a later husky that required some modification to get it to fit. It had to had a bar welded onto the end of the wheel bolt. Anybody with info please contact me or West Midlands police. I am fairly certain it was locals as unless you know the area its fairly impossible to get into my garden. Police are not doing an…

My bike was stolen from my garage just after I finished rebuilding the Rotax engine. It had green plastic tank, white fenders. If you run across an Aprilla Climber in Northern KY let me know..... Phil Mayleben 513 367 3394 pmayleben@waynepumps.com

Please give me some feed back here, would it help to have a registry for bikes? Maybe someone could then check at the comps to make sure all the bikes there are legitimately owned, not stolen. I'd be happy to help in any way. I'd do a website for the registry if needed.

Last week some toerag pinched my Armstrong CMT310 from my house in Derby. I've been totally underwhelmed by the response from the police (Nil). Still, I suppose it's my fault for owning a trials bike in the first place. It was road registered, but had no lights, though I guess the number plate will be long gone. I know it's not the greatest trials bike ever built, but I liked it and I'm mighty ticked off. There are numerous identifying features, so if anyone is offered one, perhaps you'd be so kind as to give me a call before parting with your hard earned. My number is 07989 592796. Thanks, Mike.
