The 22nd running of the Outlaw Trial took place near Summerland BC on May 17/18th - as usual we had a good turn out of riders in all classes, and it was very gratifying to see Ben Buss and Matt Fracy looking after the Saturday evening kids Trial, not only are these young lads improving big time in their own riding ability, they are more than willing to help out with the work. - We had two separate loops with 18 sections on the Saturday Vintage loop and 20 sections on the Sunday loop. - each loop was approx 15-20 km long. and had a variety of "English" style sections. We saw some exceptional rides in all classes, and the campfire stories were great. - I'm sorry I don't kn…

After the very successful 2015 BC Provincial Trials Championship took place this year, with record turnouts at venues like Squamish, the participating clubs are please to announce the schedule of events for 2016. We are proud to include a new venue and club for next year, and welcome the South Okanagan Dirt Bike Club. This will see member Ricky Styles and his crew treat all of the riders to a much welcome return to an important part of the province, and an opportunity to show off the clubs great riding in the OK Falls area. Being a 2 day event also distinguishes a great chance for the riders to enjoy some excellent terrain, but also take advantage of some good fun. The Sa…

This past weekend young Patrick Smage from the USA, did what many thought impossible. - he went to Europe and beat the top Youth riders at the Italian World Championship. In order to do this, he not only had to have the natural talent, but also the support of his family and friends, plus the Sherco Distributor. - The costs involved for a "Privateer" are immense with the rewards small in comparison - this is true no matter where the rider is located, but obviously with most Trials action happening in Europe, American or Canadian youngsters, are at a huge dis-advantage, not only because of the costs, but also because of school schedules etc. Much has been written on this…

The Canadian Trials season is now over, and one name that dominated the Intermediate class, is that of Matt Fracy, son of former Canadian Champ Steve Fracy. - Although only 12 years old Matt won his class in all of the Vancouver Island events, plus the WEC Canadian Intermediate Championship - add to this a second place overall in the PNTA Series, and it is obvious that this young lad is a star of the future.

I see anyone riding off road in BC Victoria need to sport a BCORMA trail sticker price $30/ year even on the clubs own private property. In Oregon we have the ORV tag which costs $10.50 for two years, and only applies when you are riding on state forestry property, on private property used by our club, which is the majority of the events each year, no sticker is required. Both California and Washington states honor the Oregon sticker as we do thier sticker. If we come up to ride the PNTA rounds on private property and have to pay $30 plus entry fee per rider to ride on private property, is it fare to charge your riders $30 extra to ride our events ?. Or would it mak…

This is the 2nd year in a row now that the WEC have held the first truly National Championship for trials in many years! Well done to the organizing club, the ATAQ in Quebec for hosting the final two rounds and doing a great job!! Next years series promises to be bigger and better than ever with some exciting changes coming!!!

We regret to announce the passing of Don Clark in Vancouver BC, Don was the owner of Mountain Motorcycles, and along with his two sons, Bob and Brett, Imported Beta and Sherco Motorcycles. He was also the Importer for Gas Gas until 2006. - Don was a keen Trials fan, and kept up to date with all aspects of the sport, he had by far the biggest and best stock of Trials parts in Canada, and maybe North America. Many well known riders had stayed at Don's home in Coquitlam, including Jordi Tarres. - He passed away Aug 15 after a short illness at the age of 74. Our condolences go to his wife Hazel and the rest of the family.
