Hi Guys, Really could use some suggestions here. I am based in New Zealand and as far as I can tell Aprilia never imported trials bikes here. So, no parts supplier. Can any one suggest a dealer or supplier I could use to get parts? Cheers Iain

A friend filmed this shortly after I had recieved my new 280R. I found it a while ago and edited it. I was sponsored by a new Leicester dealer called Dirt Diggers but never did too well on the bike. I went back to an old Yamaha TY250 in the end. Check out the riding gear! Click here for video

hello all I'm looking at improving my fork behaviour again. Last year I replaced seals and oil , put in 260 cc of 20wt as I saw recommended on this board. It was way too harsh , I couldn't ease a wheelie down without hand shock. I switched to ATF which is 10 wt ( ? ) better but still harsh. I have since seen a recommendation of 10-20 wt in the rebound fork and 5 wt in the compression side. This sounds like a good idea but I'm not sure which is which. Is the fork with the adjuster for rebound? Also there is 2 allen screws on the top of the left fork , the one clicks so I assumed it is for adjusting rebound damping, clock wise ( ? )for more damping ( less spring back ) .…

my rear pads are getting thin and my local bike shop (non-trials ) is having a hard time matching a replacement for the Galfer 1805gf that I took out. If you have a source for manufacturer and part #'s that would be great . Also are there different compounds available and what would their characteristics be? many thanks

I was just wondering how high everyone runs their fork tubes in the triple tree ( yoke, steering stem , whatever you want to call it) upper clamps. I had mine flush since I've owned it ( a year) but have been wondering if lowering would give smoother steering, easier balance etc. Thanks for any opinions.

  17. Hello all Looking for advice on the best plan of action to repair/ replace my kickstarter ring ( the part that clamps onto the splined shaft coming out of the transmission). I noticed it was cracked into 2 peices . I had previously noticed the kick starter hitting the skid plate at the bottom of the kick stroke so I ground away some of the plate. It doesn't really engage until it the kick lever is parallel to the ground. Is it possible to advance the shaft ( counter clockwise ) when remounting the repaired kickstarter so it engages sooner and stops before hitting the skid plate ? or is this normal and not really what caused the crack? As to repairing the crack it l…

Hi all, I`ve got the chance of a purple climber quite cheap,as its in a bit of a state but when I checked the frame numbers part of them seem to have been altered, the guy gave me the explanation that the local importer changed the numbers when new and as the number reads 93*** it would seem to tie in with the year. The bike is complete and original and with a bit of tlc and a front tyre could be made good just wanted any advice on numbers. Andy in north/east
