My sons oset just stopped moving all of a sudden. All lights are on the handlebars, but it just isn't moving. I've checked the wires and they all seem to be connected properly.. do i suspect the worst in that the motor is broken or could it be something simple?

Hi, Can I put fatter than my current 20x2.5 tyres on the back wheel of my 20.0? If so, where would I get them? If not, I guess I need a new back wheel and tyre combo -again, which and where to buy? Any advice? Cheers CG

Hello, For those, like me, who uses the OSET 16" for full cross rather then trial... You can buy 16" cross tires from the Kuberg e cross 16". They fit perfectly. Greetings

  5. Hello from Scotland, I have just acquired 2x 20.0s and now realise that I'll be needing a second set of batteries. I'm not yet ready for lipo. I see I can buy from Oset at £39.99, or from intamicro https://www.intamicro.co.uk/p-653-rec10-12-yuasa-battery-12v-10ah.aspx for £24.99. probably elsewhere too. As I am buying two sets, the price difference is significant. Anyone know a reason not to go with the cheaper supplier? Also, what is the perceived wisdom regarding off-bike charging? I was thinking of buying a socket like on the bike and simply attaching it to the batteries. Can anyone point me to a source for the socket? Can I balance the current and future batt…

The boys oset 12.5 24v was charging while I was working on my bike, it's a std oset running yuasa batteries which charges by pluggjng into the bike. Anyway, I was wearing shorts and my leg brushed really, really lightly on the footrest and I could feel the electrical current. When I tried it with the palm of my hand I couldn't feel anything, it could be felt using the back of my hand. Is this normal? If not, what may be causing the problem

Hello! I´m about to buy an Oset for myself (and my son off course) and would like someone to measure the motor - diameter and length. The reason is that I want to put in a brushless motor if there is space enough (with some mods). I´m a bit allergic to DC motors... As I have seen there is room for a bit bigger diameter than stock motor but the length is limited between the swingarm.

I thought I'd share a recent near miss I had with some lipo batteries whilst attempting to convert our little lads 12.5 from lead to lipo....... After running a 36v (pairs of 5s batteries in series) 16" bike on lipo for a while with no problems I decided to get some for the young un's 12.5. Went for some of these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__56843__Multistar_High_Capacity_6S_8000mAh_Multi_Rotor_Lipo_Pack.html which, after careful measuring, seemed like they would fit nicely. Once they arrived I taped them together, wrapped them in some 8mm foam and duct taped them up. Trying them in the bikes battery tray they were a good fit, just dropping in under the…

I signed up for newsletter updates on the Oset site. The 24 looks great but I'm having a hard time figuring out the size compared a full-sized bike. I suppose 24 means 24" wheels? Although it looks like the rear is running a full size trials tire. "The OSET 24.0 development program is gaining pace. We are waiting on several important test parts to take the project closer to production, but currently have four test bikes being used by a variety of riders in a variety of situations. Reaction to the bikes has been universally positive, with the performance continuing to surprise and amaze! The 24.0 will be an important addition to the range and introduc…

Hello, I was hoping someone might be able to write me a shopping list for what I need to install one of those controllers to enable smooth power delivery from a standstill. I will hopefully be getting someone else to install the controller as electrics really aren't my bag baby. Looking at my local bike shop, BVM or perhaps just an auto electrician at a push. If someone can oblige in time for the unwrapping on Christmas day that would be great. Regards, Chris.

  14. Hi. I have installed a high tech custom lithium ion battery pack , 20 amp hour ( it's. for a 2014 20 Oset It runs all day and has impressive power. However when my boy is riding slowly it cuts out and there is massive engine braking. He then twists the throttle and a lag then boom it's off. It's like the engine cuts out ? Any ideas? Otherwise it's now perfect and he can ride all day just not slowly........

We just picked up an OSET 16, and an OSET 20 yesterday. OSET 16 24V needs new batteries. Anyone have a good battery recommendation? Amazon has a bunch of 12v/14ah batteries or should I go through OSET? Charger was also having issues so I got a new one on order from Amazon, specs all match OEM charger.

Hi, im just wondering if its just as easy as using 2 x12v batteries and run the bike or is there any kind of low voltage protection circuit preventing this? If so, what do i need to do to fix this?

Being tight, I didn't fancy paying £20+ for a kill switch for my lads Oset so did a bit of research.... You can get one of these on eBay for £1.99. From China, but came within a couple of weeks. Maybe worth buying a couple or three to given you some spare caps. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371211083911?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT#ht_9710wt_1033 Problem is these are for a petrol bike, hence work the wrong way round. With the lanyard cap attached the switch is open curcuit, pull it of and it closes. Strip it and it looks like this inside: - You can buy a replacement button/switch that operates the correct way (i.e lanyard cap fitted …

  20. Hi All, Hoping for a little wisdom. My lads 20" stopped running the other day after riding with the rear brake dragging a little. Anyway, the current situation is, the keyswitch powers on the throttle LED's showing full power but the relay doesn't click. I've checked the switch feed to the relay and I don't see any voltage. The switch feed seems to originate from the controller, so my only thought is that the controller is goosed. I've also tried another set of batteries just in case they are on low charge. Any other thoughts? Cheers, Wayne.
