Hi all, at the moment I am riding a 250 Mar in comps. Its a great bike, does everything it should but i think its lacking that something extra in the engine department. Its on its first oversize with new piston and rings, 26 mm Mikuni and thinner head gasket. The engine pulls from nothing, but just seems to lack that sharp response when power is needed. So my first question would be, is this a characteristic of the engine? Secondly I have a 250 gripper engine sat in the corner of my shed and was wondering would I get much benefit fitting this in my Mar chassis, and would it cause me much hassle? Cheers HIGGO.

Hi, I have just bought an O.S.S.A, 350 (310cc) trials bike and wondered what the correct 2 stroke mixure would be for it. I have no manuals on the bike at all to check? Any particular oil brand would you recomend?

I don't think this news has made it to Trials Central yet. Check out the LewisportUSA site for the official announcement: http://www.lewisportusa.com/ I ride a lot with Lewisport Southern Cal Rep, Bill Merritt, about once a week and have gotten to try out the new bikes as they come out. They may yet tempt me off my Raga. Bill rides the OSSA as his daily practice and competition bike. I have nothing but the best to say about Bill's commitment to the bikes he has sold (Gas Gas, OSSA and Beta), to the buyers/riders and to both the practice and competition aspects of the sport. Based on my experience and interactions with Bill I expect that his closer involvement now…

As above, has anyone tried to fit the new style flexi rear fender on the old style seat base? If so, is it a direct bolt on or was there a modification required?

I just bought the new Explorer. I ride in wet and very muddy terrain. This bike desperately needs a mud flap at the rear to help keep the shock and linkage cleaner, but not sure how to attach one. Has anyone fashioned one yet? Thanks.

So I assume by now that most people who are experiencing starting issues either have the original LSS type starter pack installed, or have the 9v battery version which is smaller, simpler, and avoids potential flooding by only charging the electrics and not the fuel pump. Just as a matter of interest, if you were to use a rechargeable 9v battery on the 9v system, and say, kept the circuit open when travelling between sections, would the system recharge the battery or would the combo capacitor and 9v battery in the sytem have a negative effect. I know changing a standard 9v battery on this system is no big deal, my questions is more just a matter of interest as to whethe…

Hi My friends Ossa TR280i started to smoke real bad and was running poor when trying to accelerate. It was perfekt on idle, but as soon as the engine got some resistance it started to smoke and was misfiring. The smoke was white/greyish. New sparkplug did not make a difference. The cylinder head gasquet is ok, and the radiator coolant level is also ok. When i say smoke real bad, i mean enough to get waterbombed by a fire department helicopter. I can only think of two things, something electric, maybe with the fuel injection or perhaps the gearbox oil is entering the cylinder somehow. But the oil level seems to be ok as well. Its a 2 month old year 2012 bike. Any thou…
