Hi everyone. I'm new to twin shock trials and having ridden a few borrowed bikes I'm now ready to look at buying my own bike. I'm being drawn to the Ossa Mar and would like to know if this bike would be suitable? I'm 49yrs old 5ft 6 tall Weight is 9 1/2 stone All comments welcome Thanks

During a trial this weekend I noticed a creaking from the clutch mechanism whilst pulling in the lever. It is also heavier and notchier than my mates OSSA clutch. The noise seems to come from the cable, but I worry it might be transmitting up the cable from the clutch arm ?? Will a cable be the answer to my problems, and is there any way to make it lighter than it is ?

hi. just bought a 2014 ossa 300i and i wonder what the top speed is? have not got it yet (transport) and there is ice on the road so i can`t try it now. I will drive it on trails and there will be some dirt roads also so it would be nice if it could run close to 70 km/h.. if not, where can i buy sprockets? best regards / new beginner swede

Anyone know what TPS the OSSA uses? It is only sold with throttle body- might be nice to have another for spare and testing. Mark

I would have thought that enough people actually own a TR280 to have run into some issues or concerns by now? If so please share this with us. Best of balance. Neo

Help!! The fan on my '11 Tr280 has stopped working. I've put 12v direct to the fan and it works fine, i've tried bridging the wires that go to the temp switch in the head, but still no joy. I'm less than useless when it comes to electrics, can anybody point me in the right direction to find where the problem is?

Hi there guys,just wondered if anybody has succeeded in getting a "duel map" installation installed on there "standard" bikes,I know the "Factory Edition" has this function and so did the last years "SSDT Model". I see Bob at Ossa Canada has mentioned he now has the "Duel Map Switch" available, I assume just running the latest Map-13 does still not let you access this function even once the "Duel Map Switch" is installed. Anybody know the correct Map Number or File Name of the "Duel Map" ? Also I have been trying to find a flywheel puller for the TR 280i,has anyone seen these for sale anywhere?

My ossa runs fine on trial and enduro sections but overheats on any short road sections ? Fan seems to be working and head seems ok ? Any ideas ?

Hi all my ossa 350 has an Amal MK2 2627 carburettor fitted I want to buy a rebuild kit so does anyone have an idea on what jets, needle, And needle setting,and slide I need please,(slide is very worn)

I'm thinking of having a go at trilas riding and as I own a couple of Ossa Road and Road Race bikes its got to be an OSSA for the dirt. After 35 years of riding on the road a recent go at a twin shock trial on an Yam TY 175 was a batism of fire for me, with everything I though I knew about riding a bike being turned on its head. I'm thinking of getting either a TR77 or a TY 80. Reeding different comments on the web there seems to be some issues with the handling of the TY 80 but no one seems to say exactly what or why it has issues. Is there anyone in North Yorkshire with a diagnostic cable for an Ossa. I need my Ossa checking out to see if it’s all working as it should !!

Can anyone tell me what material the headstock / fuel tank on the Ossas are made of? For some reason I had it in my mind that it was magnesium but can't find anything to back this up. Still looking to powdercoat my frame so just need to know what it is made of before I get quotes. Anyone know what glues / chemicals they use during the bonding process?

Anyone know of a cheap substitute for the TR280 fuel cap until I get a proper replacement? Up here in the GNW ordering parts take a long while to get here. Kinda need one by Saturday. Sheesh thats two days away. Does the Beta EVO fit?

I really dont like that the kickstand/sidestand locks in the up position. The idea is OK, but I want to put it down with my foot rather than have to reach over and put it down by hand. I suppose I could weld a tab onto it, like I did with an old gasser. Has anyone modified this? What did you do?

My tr280 rear lower chain guard is busted. Does it have to be an OEM one or is their a better aftermarket one that will fit? thanks

Hey I bought this bike in spring which is my first trials bike and I love the sport but I feel that I bought the wrong bike. After a handful of rides the bike started clicking while in gear, almost as if the bike wants to shift up. Even in neutral the bike clicks if you spin the countershaft. I removed the transmission and found some gears worn down and a chip off another. I sent the transmission to lewis sport but after a handful of rides it went right back to the same problem but now when shifting it sometimes doesnt click into gear properly. you can move the shifter up and down and it normally shifts cleanly but once and a while it gets stuck and you have to shift …

Hello, bought a Tr280i over a year ago, unaware (didn't check!) that the parts were difficult to get hold off. Changed oil this weekend only for drain plug to shear off, managed to get it out! Can't find one on google, trials and tribulations sold out.... Anyone know if a gas gas or other bike will fit? Outside diameter is 11.6mm, but its not M12, could be BSP, NPT metric fine.....not sure, just hoping another bikes will fit thanks
