Four-Stroke

the other day i went out a spin on my bike im only a learner - anyway a went straight into a ditch an came off it when a looked at the bike there was little oil coming out the gearbox, could this be a crack in the seal or something?

Hi all, My bantams well on its way to being finished so though I would get myself another project. A BSA Barracuda 250cc. Im going to strip it down and convert it to yet another trials bike as I am planning on competing in a few trials :-) Question - Can I use My spare Bantam hubs and fit them to the bike and if they can will the braking be efficent enough to pass an MOT as I wil take it to local shows?? Are there any differences between carbs fitted to two strokes and 4 strokes? For example I have a spare Mikuni originally fitted to a Beta Zero, can I fit it to a four stroke honda engine? I understand the jetting may need changing but is there any other differences I need to be aware of. I ask because I seem to remember that Amal concentrics are engine type specific.

Not much trials stuff at the Bike Show (NEC). But almost hidden in a dark corner on the Michelin stand is the four stroke 320 Sherco. Neat job, real slim. As no-one was about we tested the weights comparing it with the two smoke alongside. Not a lot in it really, only a few pounds. Managed to miss the trials display though.......

Different Strokes

Ishy, this would be a good one for you to answer. You still have yours right? Always wanted one, but wonder what they would be like to ride. A guy as old as me could even drop down and ride in the senior class with one of those thumpers!

Did the FIM drop the four strokes only ruling indefinatley? Is it in affect in other countries? I think I read no two strokes can compete in Japan .

Whilst doing some googling I spotted this Motobi trials special and thought I'd post it. The frame/swingarm and forks are not OEM Motobi parts. cheers, Michael

Yup, I've deleted two threads on the subject, but feel an explanation is necessary. Firstly Sherco were not happy that this was published as it was unofficial. I contacted them and said I was NOT going to publish it without their approval. I have a fabulous Cub that had a Montesa conical hub rear wheel in it which worked very well and polished up nicely almost matching the REH in the front. I have since sourced a REH rear and sold on the Montesa rear wheel. I am having a clear out in the garage and found a 66T 420 pitch Talon sprocket I had made for the Montesa rear wheel. If anyone is using a similar wheel and would like this sprocket it is free of charge as long as you collect or cover the postage. The sprocket number is TR232.
