    Sherco Virgin

Maybe it looks better in real life but those photos make it look like Sherco is aiming for the 'The most colours on a trials bike award 2007' Anyway, hope you can get on with it ok especially buying 'blind' like you did... Have fun scratching/scraping and dinging
  3. Pile o' *****! One of the things I enjoy is listening to the shouts of encouragement/bollockings from the minders to the riders. It doesn't matter whether you can understand the language or not either as the minder screams for Taddy and Kuroyami used to make me smile the most. I can't imagine Mart, Jimbo or Mr. Galway going all shy on us and whispering soothing words into little microphones...
  4. Not as staggering as seeing a pic of you supping half pints in the YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE
  5. I thought that there was plenty of engine braking but I have noticed that it free wheels a bit easier just lately. I don't know if that's something to do with turning the potentiometer screw up or whether it's the leccy motor getting run-in properly. The only servicing I've done on ours is to oil the chain and check the nuts and bolts, which have all been fine so far.

  9. How do you know it's sealed 100%, do you open it up and check or leave it and hope for the best?
  10. I'm pretty sure they are "6004-2RS", try using the 'Search' facility as this question has been asked several times...
  11. Forget the silicone, whip the cover off and snip a small "V" shape out of the bottom edge with a pair of side cut snips. If (when) the water gets in, it gets out too - simple...
  12. Superb photo of him concentrating on his landing spot His Dad doesn't look too worried though
  13. p****** about posing for photo's, no wonder he ended up with time penalites

    Beta Rev-4

A rumour circulating the bars of FW last Sunday night was that Beta UK had withdrawn all six 4-stroke bikes due to mechanical problems and that they would only be supporting the 2-stroke Rev-3 bikes! ("Int' beer brilliant" ) Six Beta Rev-4 bikes started the toughest reliability trial in the world last Monday and 5 successfully made it through the week with no mechanical problems at all. Unfortunately, the 6th bike was retired due to rider injury (busted rib or something?). Get well soon fella... Pretty impressive for the bike's maiden SSDT outing, which will hopefully give the trials buying public enough confidence to go out and buy the bikes when Beta hit full production later in the year. Nobody really knows why the Beta factory took the decision to only release 30 or so bikes into the UK, maybe they wanted to test the water before going full steam ahead? Whatever the reasons were then, I'm guessing that they will now be pretty pleased with their restrained release and they should reap the benefits later. World championship regular Jordi Pasquet rode his 280 Rev-4 and genuinely enjoyed the way the bike performed for him, varying levels of riding ability including the likes of Phil Disney down to a very average clubman rider like me crashing and bashing my way round all week - the bike simply did what it was supposed to do for all 6 riders. I had some minor starting problems Tuesday or Wednesday but this was down to me and not the bike - easily sorted so the bike ran faultlessly all week. I had dozens of riders, spectators and observers all asking me what I thought about the bike during the week but I could only respond with "I love it, the bike is simply spot on out of the box" Finally, thanks to John, Gary, Griff and Luca for their excellent support and advice at the 2007 SSDT (please don't forget the discount when totting up my breakages bill)
  16. Cheeky bugger, I went to the Duluth WR 2 or 3 years ago so I'm fairly certain I got it right? Good luck and see you there
  17. The minitrial has a foot brake for the rear, rev 'n go auto, ktm engine and as said above - it's bullet proof
  18. Only in daylight hours though
  19. I'm part relieved that we're not going to get baked in sun every day Cold, foggy 'n damp will do for me (no rain would be nice though...)
  20. Who said anything about improving scores? Let's put it this way Ian, you bought a 4-stroke and got stuffed by Sherco (who released the bike before it was ready). I took the same gamble as you but bought a Beta 4-stroke that has not let me down at all. In fact, I'm so confident about the bike's reliabilityI'm going to throw it at a load of Scottish rocks next week I just wish I had the same confidence in my own ability to last 6-days...
  21. It's a proper bike, pussy's need not apply
  22. It's a 'maybe' at this stage but I don't mind collecting him if the timing fits in with our trip North...
  23. I thought I had some 'star' rides too
