  1. The 'rim tape', if it ain't leaking - don't touch it as they can be a right ******* to fit properly
  2. There were 2 in the NE centre, owned by brothers. One blew its head gasket, I'm told more than once, and allegedly had higher tensile head to barrel studs/bolts fitted to alleviate the problem. The other became a bad starter with suspicion pointing the same way, it was sold. Neither seem to appear in the centre now. Couple of Scorpa 4Ts being ridden, seem as reliable as the Montesa. There were several Sherco 4T's also, haven't seen one for months though. Starting problems seem to have silenced them for now. I think I know where there's an unused 2005 bike if you're that keen on them (and if you can start it). Ouch! I had heard about a NE bike blowing a gasket but didn't realise that there were two of them. My bike had different studs fitted but ran faultlessly before and after. I'm sure that if the studs were the problem then this will have been resolved for the 08 bikes (maybe that's why Beta only released a handful of bikes to test them out properly?) I'm keeping hold of mine for this year as it's not done much since I got it last January...
  3. I realise that there were only 30'ish 07 Beta 4T's in the UK this year so a comparison against the 4rt is not going to be worth much but I think I'm correct in saying that there were no problems with any of the bikes that were sold. The 08 bikes are out now and I believe that orders are flooding in for them, which must say something about the bike's reliability etc.
  4. It's an ABAC compressor and the model number is B 2800B 60 CM http://www.abac.co.uk/ I think it must be a discontinued model as I can't find it on the site. It's 240v, belt driven, portable, with two regulators and I think it has a 60 litre tank. Plenty of oomph to seat the most stubborn tyres on a rim
  5. That's far too expensive, I used to get mine done at the local ATS and would give them
  6. Shouldn't be a problem as long as the camera crew consists of Doug, Grimbo and Dibs
  7. A link to the Y&G site would be nice
  8. Beta or Montesa (either 2 or 4 stroke model)
  9. Erm, I typed "THE SCOTT" into the YouTube search box and ended up with "Butthole Surfers Interview 1984"
  10. How did the SSDT chartity team get on?
  11. Trial on tomorrow but no start time listed, anybody know? Cheers
  12. Momentum is good if you have enough run up, if not, throttle and clutch control needs to be spot on. Crouch low into the bike and dip your heels on the pegs or you could cheat and... buy a Rev4
  13. So, who won the Scott then?
  14. Ditto I have had a pair of Raptor pegs (no hangers) for at least 2 years, maybe 3. They are still as good as new and probably the best
  15. I've got a 5lb lump hammer in my toolbox
  16. I thought he had crashed into the wall but he sumped out on a rock which stopped him a bit too quickly... "Dad, I've hurt mi widgie"
  17. Dad and lad at the park today, finally convinced Ryan that the full speed setting was only scary going down hill 3 little videos of him on youtube (used my mobile so not very good quality I'm afraid) Heading for an ASBO Hill climb, sat down and dabbing Hill climb, stood up and CLEAN! (my favourite...)
  18. Difficult question to answer and I'm sure we all have differing opinions... My personal view is 'Bring our troops home and let them get on with it' However, it will be innocent children that suffer the most as each faction takes turns to bomb the others out of existence!
  19. I think he's a TC member too - the name rings a bell....
  20. Not sure about the look alike but he's doing a cracking "I'm a little teapot" pose
