  1. Knob heads! Taddy beat him because he stayed with him lap after lap, he took the inside line and blocked him - looked like legitimate racing to me It's a shame that Knight lost out on the $50k but Taddy shouldn't be slagged off for winning, he's got to make a living too and beating the likes of Knight will get him noticed more and more...
  2. I don't think it takes anything away from Taddy's win, I reckon he probably started to regret launching the bike by the time the above photo was taken
  3. Christ, what was he thinking!
  4. I squirted a tube of superglue on the inside of the brackets to lock the pegs in place, not ideal but better than free pivoting. I'm still looking for the tyres but not having much luck yet...
  5. I got one of these a few weeks back: - Hebo Zone2 Carbon Saw it on eBay and then went to Sandifords to try it on, good comfy helmet and unbelievably light! It even has a fold away neck hood thingy - ideal for those cold wet runs down the road in the SSDT
  6. Wow! Lots of tips but I'm thinking you like to tinker a little too much I like the tube over the potentiometer idea, it was a pain in the a*** trying to find the screw head at first. I fixed the foot peg problem with good old superglue, it was never a problem on the small bike but the bigger bike had slacker pegs for some reason. I'm looking at replacing the tyres with some Creepy Crawlers as the rear spins up too easy, all that raw power!
  7. The posties recent strike p****d me off no end - strikes are only good for the employees, never the employers! Going back to the original topic, common sense disappeared years ago where employees rights are concerned as employers rights are completely ignored these days. We recently won an employment tribunal claim yet it cost us over

    Mikuni Carb

Which side of the carb is the screw on? Nearer to the airbox or the engine? If airbox, unscrewing = more air (leaner) If engine, unscrewing = more petrol (richer) *DISCLAIMER* The above might be utter b*****ks, as I can't remember either
  9. Cheap bike there for you Dom, Eddie won't want a Beta if Doug gets back on one
  10. Well said Dom, yer obviously not as daft as you look
  11. Never mind that, get back in the garage and sort the pedal out
  12. Dom, will the Mont bling fit a Beta or will you have to flog it all on eBay?
  13. Postion yourself in between the rack and the bike, put it in first gear, push down on the forks and pull back on the bars to lift the front wheel onto the rack. Move round to the other side of the bike, one hand on the handlebar, one hand on the swinging arm (you should be side-on to the bike, facing the front wheel), bend yer knees, lift and fart
  14. I should be there with any luck, I reckon you might actually get a finish seeing as the trial is an easier one
  15. Try this in 1st or 2nd gear... Starting from a standstill, lean right back with as much weight over the back wheel as possible, hold the rear brake on hard, slip the clutch and use extra revs to prevent a stall, pull on the bars and the bike will rotate around the rear wheel, ease the back brake off and ride away. It doesn't sound like it would work but it does
  16. Ha, get yer own pics losers!
  17. Ah the memories, I did this on a bike 30 years ago. The petrol tank was knackered so we had swapped it for a Fairy Liquid bottle taped to the frame, bit of petrol leakage didn't worry us too much until we tried the plug against the barrel trick! Whooosh, set fire to my left leg too

  19. Christ, that clip certainly tugged at the heart strings! I've always had the utmost respect for our armed forces past and present, so I think a couple of minutes silence is the least we can do to show our support. This Sunday, whether they like it or not - I'm going to take the wife and kids to a rememberance parade to show that we are very proud and very grateful of our lads and lasses. "Lest we forget..."
  20. Absolutely makes sense. They're last to the 4-stroke party, been slated, loads of rumours (Trials folk love rumours!) about company stability, long-term future etc. This is them saying they're here and they're here for the long term and not only are they selling bikes currently, but are innovating and developing for the future too. It's great marketing. Ok fair enough but 2009!!!
  21. I think the GG 4T looks bloody nice, like a slim bit of totty with old fashioned internals However, I can't get my head round the reasons to show it off now but hold it back until the 2009 bikes are out!
  22. I don't think Bjorn would be too happy though Haha, isn't he swedish?? Yebbut, born in Switzerland
