    Beta Website

If you want a manual try e-mailing the beta factory in Italy and tell then your year and model and stuff. If they have a manual scanned into their computer they will send you that, or if not they may have books available. Both are free (I got a manual for an 03 posted over from italy for free) Try that before you try to get one on ebay. Bob
  2. I'm right near Malton, perhaps i could persuade marky boy to go, he's allways around in this area, I wouldn't mind going for just the sunday. Bob
  3. I would also really really like to go to Hawkstone and it's my first time. This may sound like a right stupid question but is it possible to get anywhere near there on a train or bus or owt because I don't reckon I'll have passed my driving test by then, and even if I have two hours on the motorway might be abit much for me. I might be able t blag a lift yet, but I'd have to wait and see. Cheers, Also Magic Mat, the sunday is more expensive and probably better because the actual trial happens on the sunday from what I've heard. bob

    Build Quality

It doesn't say how it was done or anything, but if any nutter rides any bike off something big enough and lands awkwardly it'll snap. Gassers can't be all that bad anyway or there would be none about.
  5. So I really ought to be using straight antifreeze! Is that the beta factory you spoke to? Bob

Whoops! You spoke too soon, just saw this on the indoortrial.com website. Bob

    Flywheel Nut

I read on the SSDT prep list that the flywheel needs to be done up to just over 140 Nm which was is a helluva lot if you try it, i set a torque wrench and no matter how much i tried i couldn't quite get it to this so i whacked it a couple of times with a rubber mallet, i was having trouble keeping the flywhhel from turning. Rev3 Kick Start

hi, Mine broke exactly like that, but didn't notice for afew months. Just welded it back up and i have left it like that for the last year with no problems, I used a thicker washer and cos it's nowt really fine an ordinary mig welder. I can't take the credit though, im crap at welding, got this guy who does it as a job to do it. Bob

    Golden Bolts

Where abouts does your mate live? Surely either on a steep hill, or in a spot where kids are of the inclination to ti over cars, Cars don't just flip on their own, unless its Herbie Bob

    Timing Beta Rev 3

actually when mine did this I poned JLI and they were fine to post me the new stator and CDI unit to try and then send back what I didn't need. I was well impressed because it was actually my first time using them aswell. Bob
  11. Not much actually... a really strong door! but the rest of the shed is made of corrugated iron. Bob
  12. It could be actually, if you had a pic of say a rare 1950's factory bike which wasn't mass roduced, not many people would know what that was. Bob
  13. Did anybody notice that on one of the races on one of the the indoors Cabestany lost because his bike set off in reverse just as he opened the throttle, but his started ok again afterwards. Bob

    Colonial

I didn't see you either Andy, unforturnately I was only there at the last couple of sections, but they were really good. I've got a couple of video's but can't upload them. Bob
  15. Was it doing this before you stripped your carb down last week beta basher, you were telling me that you'd had some problem with putting it back together, if it wasn't doing this before and has just started after doing this, then thisis more than likely the problem. checking all the rubbers for a good seal might not be a bad idea. Bob
  16. Yeah are you sure you put them floats in the right way round, and that the slide is in the right way round after you took it apart before. If it wasn't doing this before you stripped the carb I would check that first. Bob

Well I reckon my mum might be taking me up there, i said that 'it's a good place to walk the dog isn't it' and all the rest, so thanks Andy, but I should be able to get around, although I might see you somewhere abouts. I'll be the one trying to control a terrier which just loves to chase noisy things , even though a ride in the TC Scooby would be a big Kudos boost. Bob

Last year was cold, but the worst was the wet snow storm towards the end, but i'd still like to go this year if I can get a lift with anyone (hint hint marky boy), my dads clearing off to Taiwan so I'm a little stranded. Bob
  20. Isn't it the japanese bike? Fujinami has some plastics on like that at one point. Bob

    06 Beta 125 Wiring

erm, well I'm not sure about that, someody had already rewired most of my bike when i got it and just hadn't fitted a kill switch, but black wire is definately the one to earth to stop the engine. If you've got a handbook then there should be a wiring diagram in there. bob

    06 Beta 125 Wiring

I've doe this on my 03, probably similar, one wire needs connecting to the black wire which comes up from the stator, the other end needs earthing on the top bolt on the coil. that is for one which earths the sprak plug, one which disconnects the spark pllug completely, ie lanyard is different. Bob

    Changing Plastics

I think that what he mans may be just the plastic thing which holds the filter, you'll only need to change this if it is a pre 2003 bike. Bob
  24. solvent? does this mean that it's not ok to use, what about pro care, that displaces water and claims to be safe on coils. bob
  25. but don't forget that it is leaking out of the middle of the bike so its gonna mess up the grip for the fella on the beta too, and in the final it'll be a problem for everyone, I don't know what carb mod does what but I'm pretty sure his was the only one leaking. Bob
