  1. What he means by reverse logic is that when using a taller gear, such as 4th, it would require MORE power, than climbing the same incline in 3rd. If you were "losing" power, logic says you would now have to shift down to 2nd gear in order to get up things you were previously able to climb in 3rd.
  2. Frustrated trials rider that got the wrong kind of motorcycle?
  3. Clarke makes the "Mini Z" plastic tank, which works great on TY's. OSSA IN USA

Yes, some know, and yes, we are in "double secret probation". What I can say is that the Tryals Shop, in Locke, New York, is an official distributor, technical contact, and parts provider for OSSA USA. When the first batch of bikes, for public sale, will arrive is not quite "double secret probation", but is a bit of a gamble to estimate, at this juncture. What can be said is that the first bike, being delivered to the Tryals Shop, for testing, is in transit. Hopefully, more to come soon.
  5. I wondered why your earlier posting, stating that you were asked to clarify this as an untruth, suddenly disappeared from the thread.
  6. As P.T. Barnum said, "There is a sucker born every minute." At that rate, the hoax market will always be a profitable one. You know that little hologram that comes in Microsoft software packaging? If you cut those out, and stick them on the back of your watch, they work exactly as well as the Mojo bands do!

    EVO Gearing

That is why they gave you 2nd gear!
  8. Sounds as if your "cleaning spray". or some other polish/chemical is getting on the pads, and or disc.
  9. Frame photos on the website look nothing like that.
  10. The Enduro bike images are computer graphics, but the trials bike images appear to be real bits. The casting and machining are gorgeous. In fact, the investment in the casting makes it appear as if it is more than one off. Would be easy to see an off the shelf motor (maybe from Gas Gas) stuffed into a wonderful new chassis, and offered as high end limited editions.
  11. Yes, it applies to the Cota. The fix is Caswell Fiberglass Sealer. DON'T go for POR, Kreem, etc. as they do not work as well. The Caswell is specific for the purpose of sealing fiberglass fuel tanks.
  12. While you can have a dab without a pivot, you cannot have a pivot without a dab. So, what is the point of distinction?
  13. Basically, it is not fathomable to "know who he is" but not know where he is ranked. Indoor World Champion for past 4 years and Outdoor World Champion for past 4 years.
  14. I have always been led to believe that option 1 is the case. That is how it was explained when we were being taught (by the official) to score the National round.
  15. Same reason that stopped + foot on the ground does not equal 5, I guess.
  16. Kind of like those balance/strength bracelets. Any difference would only be in your head. Special materials such as Iridium, Platinum, etc. are great for extending the useful life of the plug. Not a feature that you really need in a trials bike. As far as a performance gain goes, something that you will notice while riding the bike, that is not what they are all about.
  17. Nope. No problems here. What type of temperatures are you riding in?
  18. Yes, I owned one. Unless it is just an amazing price, it shouldn't be your first choice. My first 4 stroke was the Scorpa SY175F, followed by the SY250F, and then a Beta Rev4T. The Beta was by far the best of the three. The SY250F is just tall, top heavy, and heavy in general. Despite Scorpa's best efforts, that is just not a trials engine.
  19. Owned three of them. The '03 (reflected in your ad) was an excellent bike. For a novice getting back into the sport, it would be tough go wrong with that choice, if the condition is good.
  20. You can grab the latest off the Windows Live Essentials site. http://explore.live.com/windows-live-essentials
  21. "There is no problem with our bike. We just don't have a thing to wear!" Excuses don't get much more lame than that.
  22. As a matter of fact, I am! After owning 3 different 4-strokes in a row, and being a TOTAL fan of the 4-stroke, I had my reservations about returning to the 2-stroke. After 3 weekend outings on my new EVO, I am right at home, on it. Love how small and light it feels, but still stable and well planted.

Your post prompted me to look up "XR77". It appears that this is not offered in the US, as a search of the Castrol USA website turns up no match. All Google searches, resulting in news or prices for sale, appear to be UK based. Interesting side note, from one of the sites, indicates that XR77 is designed to leave more residue, so that "visual tuning" such as plug color, carbon in the cylinder, etc. are more easily seen. Not sure that this buildup, or residue, is something we desire in a trials engine. Can you shed any more light on XR77?
  24. I will second that as I rode one for about 3 years. This site http://www.tryalsshop.com/preowned.html has two available on their pre-owned bike page.
