  2. I heard the first 2014 260 plain 4RT's had issues with fork seals after only a few hours use Not heard much lately
  3. After riding a BMW 1100 GS - the 300RR would be a paperweight Have you finished with RTW riding ?
  4. Dream debut on TRS He did well, very well
  5. Fitting a HD chain will sap power Just buy a decent quality normal chain of a genuine brand like DID,from a recognised retailer Beware of fakes from China
  6. TLR don't justify their prices - can't see why people buy 'em now, because nobody did in 1984-87
  7. What about 4strokes? They have moved further than most of the 2strokes
  8. A bitBut I was looking at some 1975 WTC pics from Congresbury Bristol & seeing all the pics from Rappers & recognising them as adult Centre rides when I was a schoolboy trialler, plus a pic of a quartet of riders, from a few years later from another SWest WTC round which included Mart & 3 other ordinary Centre riders all chatting, at a road section - no trucks & WTC circus Somehow we've lost the essence of simplicity with Trials all round For me only the Scott & SSDT capture that rawness of man, machine & terrain with a bit of luck thrown in - with no contrived sections made by diggers - where a Centre Expert can get a clean in a section, just the same as Doug or Dabill, if he's on form that day Sadly we've lost something along the passage of time
  9. So, when was it ? Now?...................or was it 1990's? 1980's? 1970's? Just been looking at some of Rappers pics on FB, from the 1970's and 1980's which prompted me to start this thread and ask the question I reckon it was the 1970's & 1980's for me - the halcyon days when you could enter a World Round, if you were a good Centre rider without a minder, to catch you How about your opinion?
  10. Tiny demand Too many minor bike changes Uneconomic
  11. My thoughts when I read post 1Happened to me at a trial Lost one of the 2 header nuts, but it wasn't loose, just weeping enough to cause the symptoms above Managed to finish the Trial though
  12. Just to make one thing plain.............sadly it's not mine
  13. No sound............but here's a muddy pic from my iphone
  14. I think the 2 dealers I mentioned, have supported British track & off road Motorsport for a good many years & seem to have a good deal of Trials customers who seem happy I think the Honda model now works, I was sceptical at first - but I think it provides stability & adds control to the brand which benefits owners in the long term Gone are the days when anybody sold them & the market would undercut each other, that still happens in other Trials brands What's the point of having Trials dealer network & then still some people buying off the UK importer ? It means that the dealer is undermined & he's the guy who supports all the local clubs/riders with bikes/gear/spares & repairs - which is unfair With the Honda model - people know the price & where to buy & the dealer gets a margin No dealer can stay open without making a profit Profit isn't a dirty word & nor should it be I'm self employed & don't get out of bed - unless I can see a margin & profit out of a job I do for a customer
  15. You're a bit out of touch - 1st reg is £55 + £38 for VED - but then you can cash in the VED element & get back 11/12 ths Importing a stock 4rt would probably save you £500, less the costs of going for it which would be a minimum of £250 So for a couple of hundred quid, is it worth it? I doubt it Might as well support Micky Oates or St Blazey in my book especially if they give you a good deal
  16. Probably not, but they do look great I'd probably keep my 2007 bike, as well though
  17. Yep I seen a 300 RR in action in Yorkshire in The last month
  18. So, how different are the 260's over the older 250's in terms of engine and chassis Worth upgrading?
  19. Spoke to someone with one, a week ago at a Trial.............it sounded awesome and so quiet (mechanically and exhaust) - he said the power was very good and a bit of beast

  21. What and saddle your hardworking, low volume and margin, Trials dealer who puts a bit back into the sport by sponsoring a few riders Very noble..............................NOT Why should a Trials dealer carry the can, by the current owner covering up a known bad bike, which the previous owner had abused to hell and back Not good form, is it
