is addingham closed? i went last suday morning, quite a few there, no signs to say it was shut, can anyone confirm or deny?

i was wondering on the subject of insurance, is it cheaper to register your bike and get tpft, or get one of these "off road only " policys? has anyone done a comparison?

strip the carb , sounds like it could be a blockage in the pilot jet. any which way the carb needs cleaning to eliminate it. and also check the reeds there may be a bit missing.

same old problem, with exactly the same symptoms, all cured with a good de-coke.

i had similar problems with my 04 270. i checked and adjusted ignition and changed carb settings. all had a slight effect on running but did'nt fix the problem . so, i stripped down the top end and gave the full lot a THOROUGH de-coke, it now runs sweet as a nut, dont get me wrong on this, there was'nt lots of carbon build up, but there was enough to spoil the performance. give it a go , i managed to re-use the gaskets and as long as your carefull on removing the rings it should'nt cost a penny. (proper yorkshire repair!!)

a mate of mine has just bought an unused 04 290 that has no paperwork with it as yet and he wants to run it in. any advice on whats needed , oil mixes ect.

sorry to say that there should be no movement in the mains at all ,up and down, hovever slight. its not that major a job really, although i havent done a beta, 200 two stroke ktms normally take about 5-6 hours for the complete job. engine in and out included.

does it seem to be when you shut the throttle ,after using low revs but hard pulling? and then hear a single "ping". mine 270 does, and is getting more regular.

can anyone help with this , my 04 270 shock has lost all damping (no oil appears to have escaped) ,can these be re-built , and by who? and most importantly how much?

while my bike is in the garage i always leave the front brake on slightly using a thick elastic band, this makes sure that the brake is always great. don't know why it works , it just does.

all true, 1979/80 cota 123, practicing in the local woods , walkers stopping to watch, and not complain. riding bikes in "playing out jeans" which were so flared, left leg bottom all cut and oily from push bike chains. but whatever happened to white dog s**t ?

that has not escaped me either, mind you i can blame poor results on the bike!!
