now that looked slippy, but fun, far more fun than i had on boxing day.
instead of being out on my bike , i was stuck in a front room, which looked like a studio set from a BBC victorian period drama, with lots of elderly relatives, most of which, quite frankly, smelt of wee, and moth balls.
oh yes , i love the festive season.
-
dont worry, one call out, winching and 4 days storage over christmas should just about pay for the bike !
-
oh how lovely, the Pont Neuf Bridge in full moon .............hang on...........i think i can see a crack !
-
just out of interest its on a PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 2 TARGA in white.
-
why not write to santa, he seems to have a reliable delivery service?
-
this old chesnut, reminds me of being 16. was that 72mph "on the bike clock?" or was someone following you in a mk2 cortina?
i had a ts50 suzuki with a 75cc kit (i think it was a malossi)
it went like stink , it used to rev off the counter onto the stop! very scary!
-
i agree, i had one of those and it was nothing but trouble, but a friend of mine had one and it was great, no problem at all.
i changed mine and bought something else , that was good but up to a degree, i mean i had to do some stuff on it work wise , but all things being equal, it was far better.
however, i saw a guy at a trial last week and had the other one ,and he loved it and said that it had been no bother at all, apart from the breakdowns and the frame crack, it was the worst bike he'd ever owned.
so in summary, i would , but others might not, that said, they probably will and everyone gets a ride!!
nuff said?

is the thing with the wire on not the air screw?
if you have snapped that off i would make sure that its not leaking air.
my 08 runs great , i hardly ever take off my carb, but i do keep the air filter clean, and i clean it after ever ride.

Thanks for the reply, I have to admit that a new prime minister sounds attractive as ours is not working to his full potential.
Please ask your unsucsesful candidate to send a CV to, Downing Street, London.
They must be able to loose 25 million sets of bank details, start wars needlessly, and eradicate off road riding as soon as possible.
Re-numeration will be in line with current dictatorship rates.
P.S. would you be interested in an Olympic stadium / village, it will shortly become vacant with little use to us.
Awaiting your reply
Paul.
P.P.S. the postman has just been, did you send the opera house collect cos he wants $387,238.98 in unpaid duty.
-
try this link http://www.feibearings.com/about.htm they are in your neck of the woods.
please refrain from sending anymore artifacts/personnel from your country.
we are very nearly full, and cant spare the space.

procced straight to casualty.........do not pass go.........do not collect
-
ride as many as you can before you buy, my bet is you end up with either a scorpa or a beta !
-
nothing.........they can be a bit tough if you dont cook them right.
-
never mind bouncing the back around.........................you've just outed yourself as a chicken choker!!!!!!!!
if its any consolation, i also am trying to learn the art of bouncing the bike around. its trial and error to start with and it comes gradually.....hmmm..........that sounds familiar.
cheers

if you were using TTS before then i should stick to what you know. i dont like mixing brands of oil , so i would drain the tank and clean the carb out and start with a fresh mix. 60 to 1 sounds a rich mix anyway i would have thought that 70 to 1 would be fine, but i dont run a sherco. i personally use the pj1 silverline stuff in my trials bike and TTS in the trail bike (autolube), this always seems ok to me.
-
can you explain this further, i thought TTS was one of the best out there?
-
i went to a 27.5 pilot, found that the needle worked best in the middle and went down one size on the main.
i set the air screw when the bike was hot and i think its about 2 1/4 out. plug and piston top are great on colour.
takes some warming up but is so crisp when hot and pulls from tickover.
from what i can gather 250 beta's can be all over the place on carb settings, mine was not at all good from new.
i am going to be getting an 08 soon so we will have to see what happens with that.
-
i fitted Boyesen reeds and re-jeted last year, just for comparison , jezza, where did you end up on the sizes? and who gave you the info on change ect?
cheers

as the term suggests an o-ring chain has small rubber o-rings between the plates and the rollers, these are supposed to keep lubricant in and dirt out.
an o ring chain well looked after will last longer than an ordinary chain. i think i am right in saying that an o-ring chain will "sap" some power to the rear wheel, and does not free wheel as well due to the extra friction.
on a trials bike it really isnt worth the extra money on an o-ring chain, just look after the normal chain with regular maintance after every ride.
