  1. Yes I was only look at some pictures of the Rayer conversion earlier and noticed the DT head. Maybe using the whole DT engine would make more sense rather than having to modifiy the TY crankcase to suit. I'll have a look at the gear ratios and see who different they are.
  2. Do you think the job would be any easier if I used an early DT175 engine. The barrel and head bolts look better positioned.
  3. I've had a look about and the sleeve seems easy to get hold of. This one here The piston seems a bit harder, I can't find anyone who does a piston that big for a DT or WR200. I have found some big pistons for Yamaha Blaster quads which I believe is the same engine as a DT/WR but with an aircooled top end. Not sure is these will work 72.5mm and 72mm Not sure on the pin size though? Any tips?
  4. What piston did you use? and was the liner bespoke or a modified one? Cheers Matt
  5. This is unfortunaly due to the bloke not kicking the bike over properly not a fault with the bikes internals. Four strokes dont need sunch a harsh prod like a 2 stoke to get it going, a smooth a consistant kick is what's needed. I've seen two 4RTs do similar things down here from people kicking them to hard.
  6. That was great fun! 2 hours sat in the sun i thought it was ment to be a hard trial!
  7. If it was in original condition
  8. First year for me number 10. Matt Tupman Look forward to seeing everyone.
  9. I'd imagine a handful of 300 Beta's will be there and some new Raga's but other than that there arn't many new models out.
  10. Yep sumpguard off is the only proper way to do it. When you put the sump guard back on put the two back bolts in very loose and then put the bike on a stand of some sort to put the weight on the guard and flex it up to put in the two front bolts
  11. Don't worry you wont have to much trouble getting hold of a new case, plenty of them about at the minute. Oh and how did you do it ??
  12. Ive been using the same pair of Jitsie pegs for about 10 months now although they've been on three bikes. They're still in one peice and i haven't lost any pins, i'd say for durabilty they are among the best. As for the feel of them they are stupidly grippy to the point where you feel like your feet are stuck to the pegs! You get used to this after a short peirod and then they just feel very natural.
  13. They're laquered, a right a*** to strip a complete frame.
  14. Looks that way doesn't it?? I'll get my dad to find some info from Lampkins tomorrow.
  15. Chances are you've got the alloy wheel spacers the wrong way round, one is slightly bigger than the other that one should be disc side. Other than that your on your own!
  16. Think it's more to do with just high demand in all things Beta at the moment. Everything thats coming into the country is already on back order.
  17. Wow you must be some kind of stunt rider to pull off riding with your hands on the pegs As above Saunders decals are very good quality, just need to get all the Beta decals done in the same material now.
  18. They come with the bottem bearing, you have to use your own top one. Standard yokes cost around
  19. The sproket and disc will fit but the spacing is completly differrent and would require custome wheel spacers and spacing the disc. Not really worth it by the time you've do all that.
  20. Standered 38mm Pailoi's and they cost in the reagion of
  21. BETA FACTORY PARTS!! Seems a lot more shiney parts have been added, looks like Beta are quickly becomeing the manufature to offer the most trick bits. Matt
  22. Pretty sure you have a thin one behind the head of the singarm bolt aswell as the nut. Well thats were one came out of when i took a swingarm off an 08 this morning.
