I agree although confidence is everything in sport and if you start to doubt yourself, then you're in trouble. I think if I was competing against him ( ), I would be looking to weaken that confidence wherever and however I could. It will be interesting to see what happens in Italy this weekend !

Yes mate, the weather was a bit naff to start but when it cleared up it was a good trial . Good job on the sections ! Yes, I was also very impressed with what Mick has done to the Gasser. He knows his stuff thats for sure. Probably why Ross' gasser is so good! It's a completely new bike and the grip I was getting grip on those slippery banks was amazing. Well pleased.
Whens the next one dude

Because off-road motorcycles are a very easy win for environmental legislators. They're seen to be addressing "green" issues AND sticking it to those noisy, irresponsible hooligans on scrambler bikes in the process. It's a no-lose situation as far as they're concerned and FAR less bother than going after the REAL sources of pollution. Such is the horrifyingly superficial nature of politics in contemporary society.

Good point! Should go back to the old days when you rode your bike to the event (Before my time of course )
on another point, the reason I believe Catalytic converters will be expensive for trials bikes is they don't make enough of them to make it worthwhile to gear up mass manufacturing and keep the cost's down.

LOADS of money! there was another 2005 3.2 on there last month that ended at around
-
HA HA - Seen and done that a few times
The funny thing is, after asking the observer "where do I go" , I sometimes get a shrug of the shoulders and a quick retort, "How the f*** should I know!"

It is possible to achieve the Euro 3 emission laws with a 2 stroke engine if Aprilia are to be believed. Aprilia done it back in 2003 with their Di-Tech direct fuel injection system Linky. some more Techy info Here
CO Emissions Di-Tech 2 stroke -85%(Excellent) 4 Stroke -40% (poor)
The other thing is I am pretty sure a 4T engine needs a catalytic converter to ensure it meets emission legislation. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think any 4T has one fitted as yet and if and when they do fit them, expect them to be expensive.
Although I like 4 Stroke engines, I think the governing body were hasty to push 4 Strokes so soon when it was almost certain that a 2 stroke will be able to meet the necessary requirements (with some development) and they are without doubt a better engine to use for trials. Not because of performance characteristics, but because they are lighter and easier to maintain and this is seen as important to the majority of trials riders out there.

Well done Patrick
That looked a pretty tough trial with the winner being on 55. What were the sections like in relation to the world round you had there last year?
Will there be any Video?
I simply love that venue! Wish it was over here

Wow, Ryan minding, Nice one!!! I wonder if Dougie would mind for Dibs

Ok Justin, Heres the last one - Got just a little bit of you and the Caby at the end
I can vouch for the Caby, Sherco 2T's just keep getting better and better shame about the 4T
-
Ok, Shame about the 4T but it isn't sorted yet is it? well he kept it for 3 weeks before he had enough of it! At least I kept mine for 3 months

p.s. think he has deleted them now

I was round the Danby's the other night and Sam (Ross' brother) took this video on his phone at the trial . Not great quality I'm sorry to say but pretty funny.
Needless to say, Mick was pretty sore

For those of us that know a bit about the sport he is.
Juha is a former Finnish JuniorTrials Champion. He always mentions his trials background in interviews and says that he is on his trials bike at every oppertunity. I believe that last year Juha found time to ride a trial and Finnished third last year in a Finnish National in the Expert class.
I'm Finnished.
