Was going to make an age related comment here........ What the hell! Only ever seen or heard of old duffers in Volvo's driving the wrong way down dual carriageways/motorways What you trying to say there Barry- Merthyr Trials Review
Yeah, thoroughly enjoyed it - except for my near serious blooper Coming out the venue, I turned right and after about a mile started to wonder why cars coming the other way were flashing me. Then I realised i was driving down the fast lane of a dual carriageway the wrong way !!! A quick dash across the middle to the proper carriageway and all was well ! Phew !! Doh Please don't tell me I'm the only one to ever do that coming out that venue !- European Youth Trial
Very well done Team Jack Challoner. Great win! Also, you win back 2 back European championships and it hardly gets a mention! People talk about supporting British riders so where are you all? Come on lads, It would be very nice to see a few more posts in this thread giving the lad a well deserved pat on the back!- Should Volunteer Officials Be Fined?
How does the fine system work? Surely it has no legal standing if you don't pay. I can't see the ACU coming to repossess your house for instance!- Sick Of It
I had a low last year and sold the bike and packed it in. This was partly due to getting injured too many times and being very competitive. After finally beating all the better riders in my class, I realised that I wasn't going to be able to progess to the next level so I became de-motivated. However this year, I got motivated again when the Forest Trophy Trial came around, got another bike and have ridden a few trials since. I rode one last Sunday (4th trial I have ridden this year) and met up with a few of the guys I use to ride with and we went round together and had a great time. Dropped the competitive aspect of it and just had a good laugh. I actually enjoyed it immensely and didn't bother about how I was doing in the trial score wise. I'm not going to get into it big time again but the bike's still there If I want to have a play when the mood takes me and thats fine As regards fitness!! now that is a problem P.s Stu... There now't wrong with golf- City Trials Target Of Whack-o Serial Killer
You will try anything for publicity Craig! As if we would fall for a Dexter wind-up!!- Pictures Montesa 4rt 2008
Hmm, I thought the same at first glance but then... I dunno... The Repsol bike looks better Agree , the Repsol does look better than a standard although this years bike looks pretty good as it is I think.- The Longmynd Trophy Trial Cancelled
Hi Kirsty, Thanks for the info. I knew this trial was a huge undertaking and was hoping it could be saved but alas it can't be so I respect that. Next year will be massive as everyone will want to come! Cheers Ian p.s. Nice to see you as a member of TC at last- The Longmynd Trophy Trial Cancelled
You are kidding Atomant, there are about a dozen trials cancelled throughout the country because of F&M, not to mention grass track racing and motocross ( I know I know this is a trials website!). Have you not been reading the newspapers or even the front piece of this website. Oh yeah I forgot we are not supposed to mention F&M on here! Some landowners are a bit nervous at the moment, there so far has been three cases, we are certainly not out of the woods yet until the disease is contained fully. All it needs is a case reported after an event and that would be bad news for the sport indeed. Big John Cant blame landowners for being nervous after the last time! I'm just really disappointed that its not on. The longmynd is a really beautiful place and I was really looking forward to riding it.- The Longmynd Trophy Trial Cancelled
Unless someone else can tell me otherwise, this appears to be the only trial in the country that has been canceled because of F&M. When you think of how much work went into it to preparing it, it seems such a shame. And did I mention I was soooooo looking forward to it- Pictures Montesa 4rt 2008
- Best Trials Vid
Watched this vid loads of times and its still a good 3 mins well spent. Lovely style he has- What's The Deal With
Jeeez, even the website is a GasGas rip !!!- The Longmynd Trophy Trial Cancelled
I see the ban on movement of animals has been lifted BBC News Link . Is it too late to resurrect this trial and get it back on again?- What's The Deal With
Good question - Having it protruding like that is asking for trouble!- Flying 4rt
aye, try it on a ****co & the suspension would explode. Only with Bikespace on it- The Longmynd Trophy Trial Cancelled
Thats a real shame. I was soooooo looking forward to doing that trial but at the same time, it must be tough for the club to have to cancel it when they have done all that work preparing for it- Alfredo Gets Hero Reception
I was just reading the Todotrial website and noticed that Alfredo Gomez, (new World Youth Champion of course ) got a hero's welcome at the airport when he arrived home. He got an audience with the Mayor and let out on the balcony to crack open a bottle of bubbly (F1 Style) in front of his adorning fans gathered outside. Fair play to the guy! It must be something to be a world champion and get that kind of treatment.. Similar to what happens over here I bet- What's The Deal With
China is the new Japan of the 60's/70's where they sneaked in and dominated. Then we saw the demise of long standing British traditional marques. They aren't doing anything that hasn't been done before by someone else and quite frankly, there really isn't a lot you can do particularly as Sherco don't seem to have any IP protection on their machine.- British Championship Rd 6
