  1. I can ,yes,but he can't ..poor sod.
  2. One issue must be noise and we all know what sport has noisy bikes! It's about time the manufacturers quietened the machines down. You can here a 4 stroke MX bike for miles across a field when there is simply no need for it.
  3. ...... I think his ego is what divides opinion on the fella. Its a funny quirk of the British mentality. If you are the best ( and tell people you are the best) you are being arrogant. If you are the best and dumb it down and understate your achievements then that's acceptable and you become a hero. There are exceptions - Remember Cassius Clay
  4. Pretty sure Ross is on a 250 this year(?) Yes, Ross is now on a JST GasGas PRO 250cc but he did have an awesome ride last year on the 125cc Here is his last years report Click Linky
  5. I bought an 05 300 raga a few months back with this problem. I gave it to Mick Danby to service and he said the clutch basket was the problem - After replacing it, the noise dropped significantly. It was quite excessive before this was done.
  6. Hes in the best car, in a sport where its almost impossible to win without having the best equipment, if he wasnt qualifying in the top 4 every race then there would be something seriously wrong. Come on man, cut the lad some slack! He is racing in the SAME car as 2 times world champion Alonso on race tracks he has never driven on and consistently beat him. Even the Ferrari team beat Alonso at qualifying and he beat them too. If thats not incredible I don't know what is
  7. It hasnt been ruined for me - this has been the best year for F1 since the days of Mansell/Senna/Prost IMHO
  8. I think if he wins, it would be remarkable. His qualifying performance alone this year have been incredible. What he done last week on a track he had never driven on before (as all season of course) is still one of the most amazing qualifying performances I have certainly ever seen. I have even run out of superlatives to describe the guys driving. Awesome!! Come on Lewis!! you can do it
  9. You make a good point but I don't think the Dabster said that . He said 4 rounds to count from 6 . A rider could then ride 4 rounds as a minimum to count and they could all be the European ones if they wished. I actually think the women would want to ride more rounds than 2. For them to ride at the same WTC rounds as the lads could have the effect of raising the profile of women's trials which wouldn't be a bad thing. Andy would love taking the pictures for a start
  10. Only it wasn't that great a challenge. I reckon they should lump them in with 6 rounds of theyouth wtc and that would sort out the ladies from the women or is it the other way round? And if they done that, how would Laia ride the youth sections and the junior ones at the same time? With difficulty? Clearly finishing as the only girl in juniors illustrates that she really is the best. if the 6 rounds were all in europe (as they are now) 4 to count could work for less work. If Laia would drop down to the youth sections then this would work and looks like a good solution I reckon. Whether it would be challenging enough for her I wouldn't know ? Any reason why this hasn't been considered before as I can see lots of benefits to this idea.

  12. What century are you posting from? Malibu, it's called expressing an opinion whatever century or archaelogical period you are in. If you have an opinion express it properly, don't just throw in a caustic remark just because you disagree It's an absurd opinion, so I rightfully treated it as such. Does Mr. Ant truly believe that the only function of the British Army is to protect from an invasion? In 2007 or beyond? An invasion? Can he possibly be serious? If an army's main function isn't to defend its host nation then what is it? I didn't say anything about an invasion! If you remember, Blair stated that the reasons for sending our troops in were that we were at an immediate risk of attack from weapons of mass destruction. If that were true then our troops being sent it would have been a valid reason, hence the virtual across party support at the time. This has since been shown to be complete misinformation and I (like many others) would argue that the real reasons were to do with anglo american relations (and possibly natural resources) and less to do with WMD. There is also a big problem here in the UK with regard to the British public's perception of the Armed forces. They are not being shown the respect they deserve and people are asking why this is? I have no answer to that but if I were a soldier fighting a war I didn't believe in, for a country that shows me no respect, and then come home to a country that shows me no respect, I would kinda be thinking f*** this! I respect the armed forces and I don't want their lives being put at risk for something I believe to be completely unjust. There ya go!
  13. They should all come home. The British army should be available in this country to defend a direct attack on the UK only and not be used as a political pawn in a superpower chess game!
  14. I'm not impressed by the kid either, his childish antics at that press conference, where he was giving the sly :-''he's mental'' hand signals (as Alonso spoke to the press) made me think he was very immature. Add that to his lack of concentration behind the pace car in that monsoon and you've got a recipe for disaster. You probably think he is immature and thats probably the case. what do expect of the lad in his first year? Although Alonso hasn't done himself much good this year as he has shown poor judgement in the way he has handled Hamilton. Hamilton will get better as he gets older and the 'incident' at the weekend should calm him down a bit although I do hope he goes on to win the last round. He is British after all and we do get fed up with the Spanish winning motor sports
  15. What do you mean by Dangerous? Do you mean on an industrial competitive level or a military one? I ask because China has 1.3 Billion people! Thats over 2 times the size of the USA & Europe combined of course. China at some point will rule the world. To that there is no doubt! I'm a bit of a dab hand with the old chopsticks, so i reckon I'll be OK when they come over. My wife and my oldest kid will unfortunately perish if I don't hand feed them - they're all fingers and thumbs Am I taking this too seriously? ..........no I thought not. Maybe not something you will need to worry about Gaz but your kids.... not so sure A N Y W A Y..... Back to Sherco... I reckon they just better get use to having Xispa around and spend there time ensuring the Sherco IS the quality bike they say it is!

  17. Like to see how far they get with this!
  18. Got to that time in the marriage has it mate
  19. EFI IS Simple. It works perfect and has virtually no maintenance. What could be better?
  20. Thats a damn good question! Maybe one day we will find out !
  21. From Wikipedia: Compared to piston engines, the time available for fuel to be injected into a ****el engine is significantly shorter, due to the way the three chambers rotate. The fuel-air mixture cannot be pre-stored as there is no intake valve. This means that to get good performance out of a ****el engine, more complicated fuel injection technologies are required than for regular four-stroke engines. This difference in intake times also causes ****el engines to be more susceptible to pressure loss at low RPM compared to regular piston engines. And your point is? Why I think a w ankel engine would be suitable for trials is :- [1] You can get a large amount of power from a small displacement. An RX8 has a 1300cc engine and pokes out 220BHP (if I remember correctly) [2] The engine could be quite small [3] They can also rev very high [4] They have a considerable smooth power delivery. I took an RX4 to bits once - amazing engines
  22. Exactly, so why bring that straw man up? No one is talking about doing that. The fact is, when I cracked the throttle from idle on the Sherco 4T to go up a small step, it coughed and died. That doesn't happen on my 4RT. There are plenty of good things that can be said for the Sherco 4T, but its carb is not one of them. Were both bikes set at the same idle speed? My 4T never done that from idle when cranked open . I had it set around 1000 rpm at tickover. Even when I changed it to a Keihin, it never done it either. I would like to see a trials bike with a w ankel engine. I reckon they would be puuurrrrfect for trials.
  23. Im in the maldives at the moment so couldn't go anyway.
