    270 Txt 2001

    You dont wanna do that!
  2. Weldone James!! It was too easy on half the score of everyone else all the time.... Congratulations! can't wait to see how he does in the championhip class, he will be the one to watch again next year, best of luck! remember riding with him at YMSA trials back in D class He was good then, wish i could like that !
  3. I ride in the same centre as Bikespace. In that centre (and possibly all of them?) there is a basic grading system. talking to the guy who sorts out the points etc for our centre about a month ago now, he told me that if your a novice for example, if you have 2 wins in that class, you instantly get promoted to the route up. Ok, this cant apply to the clubmans series-but i think if their was some sort of grading regulation or something, it would be easy then to know who the riders are that are the 'top riders'. All other sports have this. Its good because their are riders commenting and also BDMC who a secretery, so getting it from both sides.

    270 Txt 2001

an 01 Gaser is goin for around
  5. Sorry BDMC! I'm not getting at you, i've heard nothing but praise for the AJ Trial (I can't say owt because hav'nt done it ) Just while we were on this thread we just wanted to say something (in general) which happened to be on your post topic ,sorry Just thinking about it now, some of the trials have prize money! talking
  6. I am not getting at the clubs or anything!!! This is meant to be a clubmans national series - yet, no-one seems to no what a clubman is Starting orders for the top riders needs to be revised!, and also perhaps a little grading/order to these series would make it more enjoyable for the majority. a lot of the events have had the sections set out for the minority and not the majority. Sorry to moan but everyone I speak to thinks the same.
  7. Someone who does not have aspirations of riding the British championship/ not up to that level/not a full-time pro etc. Hard to answer, difficult subject
  8. Thats why i never went BS. sent my entry off the day the regs came out and ended up at the front. Becomes un-enjoyable when your scrubbing the sections and then people 20 behind you are p*****g them. Does your head in. I am not getting at the clubs but, I think a lot needs to be done about the CLUBMANS national series. I dont think British championship riders should be allowed to ride unless on a 'no awards' basis. Also what a lot of people have commented on is the top lads at some of the trials this year, have been placed at the back so if its not already easy for them, it makes it tripley easy. I remember seeing one year at the Manx, Colley rode but hey purposly placed him at the front - Damn right! because otherwise it is unfair on the CLUBMAN , in which it's a CLUBMAN's national for CLUBMAN. I could go on about this years series for ages. Entries for these trials are down which is a shame for the clubs who go to the huge amount of trouble running these trials and on the whole, the events a fantastic! Some party needs to be a bit more strict about the grading of riders and events.

    Hon-tesa

Looks bloody nice Trialsman!! would Lewisport USA ship to the UK? The 'Fujigas Replica' plastics are also damn nice. Are you going to put some RTL or Honda Graphics and the frame, be a nice addition . Nice Tank, you should cash that in on Ebay!
  10. Flywheel weight kit is the best bet for smooth power and low down grunt. I had a head spacer on my 2002 250 pro and it was crap! ruined the whole performance of the bike, made it lumpy, binned it! HondaRS Said exactly the right reason. Next one I get, the first mod will be a Flywheel weight (
  11. also it's production volume! Those 4rt engines are modified XR/CR 250f engines, same with the scorpa - yamaha WR/YZ engines. If your producing high volumes of these engines to the genera public, the trials engine will be modified ignition etc. could be 250 because thats their best sellin 4T engine and also keep the weight down and noise!! Those huge companies wont bother spending money producing an engine (for much more limited market compared to enduro/mx) when they can modify an existing engine that can be easily built in batch. The factory engines are tweeked by HRC, they not gonna be standard!!
  12. Th 280 big bore kit for the 4rt has been out since beginning of the year and apparantly costs
  13. Theres very good riders entred! should be good. So BS, are you on for the win!? theres no real competition for you in that entry list is there. Should p**s it

    2006 Gas Gas

yeah, sounds dodgy I take it Raga, fajardo & shaun morris etc have been using them this year? Hope so! not one of them Gasgas changes without proper testing & then recall all the parts. that'd be s***e. Yeah heard people complaining about the tensioners spud. They should have left them alone after the 04's because they had them sorted then!!
  15. Welldone Mike, that was a crackin ride I had a bad day, was the irst rider round on the hard route, got pulled over outside the 'cat & fiddle' and rode like a dickhead. but still, a great trial. Thanks to Man17 MCC and everone for an excellent trial.

    03 Pros 250 Or 280

I know a few Inters near me who consistantly buy 280's because they have more torque than the 250 and also they grip well!! Some of them set them up with a slow action twistgrip. They are not as bad as people make them out to be, their a damn good bike. It's not a superbike! As far as what your saying either a gasser or another Sherco, if your willing to spend more time doing maintenance then get the Pro, but if you dont have time, then Sherco because you really have to prep the GasGas!! Just silicon up the airbox and on the whole, it will be quite water resistant.
  17. Bikespace, does it start from that hotel on the corner on the way you sent us to your second round of the club champs? in other words, where you drive for about 15-20mins a long those lanes? sorry if that were cofusing!!

    2002 280 Txt

You should really be running at least 650cc's (ml) of transmision oil. Accrding to my dad's Gas Gas manual (older than the TXT but same engine!), it says run 750cc of light transmision oil. Check the technical pages of the GasGasUSA website, because it is extremly good and most of the posts are for the TXT Edition or older. Or phone Kev Hipwell at GasgasUK, he's very helpful!!
  19. Pretty much.... yeah!
  20. Last I heard was they were gonna be a 125 4 stroke, but that was a year or so ago now.
  21. Yeah, Kev Hipwell (Gas GasUK mechanic) said he always took them off the 03's team bikes.
  22. y'know where you stand with a Yam engine!
