    Exhaust System

'Gasserboy'!! You need to modify the front pipe to fit an '02 Mid-box and also need a new silencer. If I were you ( ) i'd stick to the Alluminium ones, as they are a fraction of the weight of the steel ones and less expensive Just get it fixed chuck, or warranty ur other one coz your bike is not that old!! Steel mid-box of GasgasUK is
  2. That's trick! How much tho would it cost to do Its got Upside-down Forks.
  3. Yeah!... whip a Keihin on your Gasser. Honestly, it will be the best thing you do to your bike! Made a huge difference to my 300, I had similar problems to yourself. Get it done!!
  4. Its at Dinbren Ucha, Llangollen (my Welsh is poor ) It will be Sign posted from Llangollen town! Apparently, you go through very tight lanes and it is at a farm at the end. If they follow the signs, They'll be OK!

    300 Pro

A lot depends on what type of terrain you ride, a 300 is good for the bottom end grunt ie. mud, streams, anything slippy! 280's grip well to but are a bit more suited to big steps or sections where you need sudden power coz they got loads of top end!! Bit more 'revy'! I had a 280 last year an really liked it and this year went to a 300, but I put a Kiehin Carb on it and its a completely different bike!! It's more like a slightly softer 280 now. The 300 has been dead reliable too, its been out every weekend at least since i got it and also done some of the Novogar rounds (road trials) on it and it still runs as smooth as the day i got it!! No rattles or anything. Plus, they sound awesome Get a 300!!
  8. Yeah that does look good! the only problem with having your rims powder coated/anodized is that if you scratch them (which is easy) they look s**t!
  9. Some of the top riders (Gas Gas - dunno about others!) cut off their foot rests and hav 'em welded further back!! The factory 4RT's have modified frame geometry aswell, the engine is further back to bring centre of gravity rearward, presumably so it's kinda more comfortable on the back wheel. Did you notice whether RAGAs bike had an Ohlins on at all!?

    I Need A Ride

I've got an immaculate 20 inch Monty X-HYDRA for sale, its year 2002, got Magura Quicksilvers. i've ridden 3 biketrials on it but i prefer the 26'' bikes. for a ton 20, that aint gonna buy you much brand new ! ur best bet is either save up more (Onza's are good for around
  11. Yes thats the way! My 300 came with all the problems that r being talked about but if you r prepared to spend 2 - 3 hours after each ride maintaining them( ), you cant go wrong. There r lots of things 2 do on them when their new. like all the bolts are falling out - you need to 'Locktite' sprocket/disc bolts. most of the money is being saved on the bolts coz they're made out of the crapest material, they're like chocolate! dead easy to round off/sheer the heads off! also the clips on the radiator hoses start to leak after hard use! you have to replace with good quality jubilee clips or summit. but... yeah! great bikes.
  12. a. Dunno b. the Pro c. Stock wise, just fone GasgasUK. Chances are if you fone ur dealer, they will not hav 1 and will need to get it off GasgasUK anyways p.s. give it a whirl! you never no (Till it falls off)
  13. Check out PRO BOLT. Tasty Nuts They make complete kits for trials bikes including titanium, anodised, everything. Not as detailed as that Inox site tho
  14. Yep - thats a good idea HondaRS When the mid box went on me old 280, i cut it open myself and cleaned it out a bit of DOT4 fluid (It cleans really easily with DOT4) To get it welded up (i split it completely in half) costed about 10 sheets. Alternativly, get a nu 1!! the damage for complete nu Mid box is
  15. Yeah 'Gasserboy' - you got to cut them open to re - pack 'em, thats the only way. If you are who i think you are , your bike pretty new! has it gone already
  16. Soz Dabster, i was 1 second out. Sorry for the huge error you'll just hit the motorway 1 second slower only messin
  17. it is! 11secs. not wrong.
  18. I no the 2.2 Diesel traffic does 0 - 60 in 11secs! not sure about the master tho. they all start at 1.9 non - turbo up to 2.5 turbo. They go like s**t! Dont no anything bout the Vauxhall tho but its the same basic van! and they'll both go round the clock like six times
  19. Doesnt the Master hav a 6 speed box? I no the traffic does. should cruise at a ton
  20. On your gasser you should be running 62.5 cc's (ml) of oil to 5 litres of fuel. My dads got the same bike but a couple of years newer and he runs it on 70cc's (to be safe!) That wot gas gas uk recommended at the time so dont worry Only use Fully Synthetic oil aswell, I personnally have always ran Motul 600 in my Gas Gas and its 100% deposit free and also use super unleaded fuel Regarding Spark plug, BPR 5ES you should use coz its generally the best. Other than that... Dunno
  21. This is just getting confusing now I've heard somewhere that the FIM are setting rule with fuel injected 2 strokes? Then theres all this going on with 4 stroke rule. What are Gas Gas doing. have they got anythin in the works or is it all hush hush
  22. Thanks 4 ur help! I'll give the dunlops a whirl then
  23. Aup, I was wonderin what tyres are best? I found with Michelin they get slashed dead easy, but i heard off people that Dunlops with doing lots of road work the tread falls off!? I'm doing the Novogar championship this year and I seem to be annihilating tyres after every one. At the mo i'm running Michelin on the pack and around 3 - 4 PSI. I'm fed up of riding round on slick tyres, Can anyone suggest what to use or what presure to run? tar.
  24. Hi Stu, I have a Peugeot Boxer (non turbo) and it is a fantastic van - very reliable. It will eventually do about 70MPH but on acceleration you'll get passed by Milk Floats! and they do not really like going up hills either which can get a bit boring but for the money they are excellent!!!
