  1. No actually you do! If the bike is relativly new then it is a good idea, also the pro gearbox lubes the main-bearings aswell and gets cooked. I used to use Motul transoil 10w40 & use 450ml each time. it is a lot better quality oil than atf, you can tell the difference, smoother gear change, less metal gathered on the magnet on sump plug thing. also on the 05's they reccommended to put 03 clutch plates in. Dont know wheather you have found the clutch to be quite heavy, but I put 03 plates in mine and an enduro mastercylinder and it was always perfect!... Thats what i found anyway
  2. Jitsie make them, dont know wheather you can get them anymore!? and they're
  3. check the spacing and condition of the reeds. check there is no crap on the flywheel.
  4. m5 x 20, remember not to tighten them up loads!!
  5. dont bother with those t/star graphics, get one of those tittanium silencers instead!
  6. This is nice! more pics here
  7. Depends how much your local ally welder charges!
  8. hav'nt had the backfiring on mine so far, i believe thats due to giving it (3?) weak kicks, always started first kick on mine (even started first kick sunday without the choke from cold!) also the backfiring can be caused by not keeping the killbutton pressed untill the engine has fully cut out. There is not really a lot to look out for apart from what you have suggested already, coz they are soooooo well made!
  9. Yeah but, they are good flowing sections, you have no need to stop. and if you stop there its a five
  10. The rules are very confusing. each section you ride, the observing can be very inconsistant. one will let you off for a momentary stop, the other will try to five you for stopping. This is partly due to not breifing observers; all you would have to do instead of saying "can you observe for us!?" and handing them a board, thats not good enough, just even giving them a photocopied page of rules that they can refer to before (and during) the trial. secondly, every trial you go to, it says "the marking scheme will be to TSR 22A" or TSR 23a, TSR 27A....... you what! cant they simply say 'stop' or 'no-stop'!?! Different trials you go to, the rules are different. I'd prefer it to go back so you can stop, coz no-one really take ages to go through the section anyway and most trials you go to their will be a few sections that you cannot ride no-stop . confusing.
  11. I've ridden biketrials now for a long time and 26" wheeled bikes are easier to ride. You can pick up a trials pushbike for around 250 quid, but you'll find things are gonna break dead easy. the more you are willing to spend then the better the components!
  12. The level was about spot on, once again, a well run trial from Llanfyllin club!
  13. Had a couple of bikes and parts from <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central>, very helpful & good service!
  14. I also agree with minislim, that aint a mod'd TYZ! I dont want one I just wondered whether it was how they are sold in Japan, like the monts are an RTL Honda.
  15. Good to hear Dan enjoyed it Gaz! I did enjoy some parts of the trial, but as you said, some bad attitudes! . Like you mentioned on that slick ice hill back up to 7, there were kids trying to push up and getting tired and frustrated, droped my bike at the top to go back and help some of them and loads of other riders were just riding past! Got very slippy, just ended up asking for fives on the last lap. When we had just finished, some riders were just starting their third lap! , not really on for the observers (coz it was near enough pitch black!). Quite a good trial on the whole, just went a long to get used to the new bike
  16. Anyone know anything about this, or seen it before!?!ty 125f ? is it a one - off thing? nice bike.
  17. Shaun and James had a real good go, despite the relative lack of support compared to the spaniards! Proves how hard the sections were as shaun fived everything and had one clean. I thought dougie was making mistakes that a few years ago, he would never had done? Bou was unbelievable (obviously!). I would have paid the entrance fee just to watch him alone!, very neat, confident, unreal skill. to come out straight after shaun and james to go around on five......! The Gasgas race fix was harsh on bou and it really annoyed the whole crowd, a lot of boo's towards raga and fajardo, it was funny listening to crosswaite. Those monts still have a long way to go. The best man won!!!

    06 Gasgas

I heard about the piston nipping up on them before i went out and bought mine. The engine was extremely tight on it and took about 12hrs to run in and running it on 100ml of oil before it really losened up. All the previous ones i had took about 2 tanks (6hrs) to run in. God: lowered my forks 5mm and didnt feel any different. Thanks for the advice though. Gasserboy: Mine came with 11-42 gearing as standard - yours didnt perhaps you should run your bike on more oil for a bit yet?

This i NEED to know!! info please! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was up at Birkett's yesterday and he mentioned this as a mod they do. He said they heat up the elbow at the top of the carb and bend it straight and route the throttle cable over the frame. Supposedly the slide comes out really easily and you can slip the carb out. Best bet is to phone them, He is really helpful!
  23. Yeah, get powder coated wheels, just to be different! . How about some Yellow plastics with custom graphics, jitsie headlight, REP or Jitisie m/cylinder caps? The Delay headlights look good.
