I agree with John completly.
I have riden the majority of the nationals this year and out of those i have enjoyed perhaps 2 of them.
Is'nt the Novogar series etc supposed to be a stepping stone towards the British Champs (expert class)? This year we have had sections set out for riders of top 10 in the british champs (championship class) and they have gone round the trial on 3, and all the majority of the riders have been on around 120. Dont see the point! Also the riders who tend to support the series are ordinary people who have to go to work the next day, and dont want to be thrashing their bikes up impossible sections or huring themselves. some of the trials this year have been way OTT!!! a lot of people who rode the series last year said they wer'nt going to bother again because the trials are far too hard because it is set out for the minority, who perhaps do 1 a year and not the majority who its meant for that support the series through the year.

No! the 1997 JTX is probably one of the most reliable and well made trialsbikes goin' My dads JTX is still on the original spark plug!!!
-
Thats good to hear!! Can you hardwire that s**t switch??
-
Thanks for the reply! my dealer has just started stocking it so will change.

350ml was for the 02 pro, the 05 needs 400-500ml. I use Motul trans oil 10w30, but the ATF or dexron stuff apparently is good. I believe Motul have actually just brought out their own dexron oil (if you care! ) There you go bri/BS!

Not too sure what one is like on a 250.
The kit is

The terrain there is superb! very much everything to run a fantastic trial; streams, rocks - no mud! Huuuuggge amount of land, brilliant
-
For the price it needs orange wheels, flat fuel tank and a bigger engine!
-
Hi, I was wondering if anyone is using Repsol 2 stroke oil, if you could say wheather its any good. Also if you find it smokes or runs clean etc??
Thank you!

Running NGK B5ES

Wow, what a trial
I got given 5 5's for no reason on the first lap
well demoralised after yesterday, ott.

I've owned Gasser's consistantly for a long time now, I would'nt want to swap to another make. They look gorgeous, engines are fantastic!, lots of different models available, awesome to ride, dead easy to work on, lots of extras/tweeking mods available. as JTT and r2w said, check tightness of components, silicon the airbox & exhaust joints etc.
People come on the forums and take the p**s outta people that ride Gas Gas', say the build quality is sh**e, they fall apart all the time. thats fine, but they seem to be by far the most popular bike around.
Gas GasUK could'nt be anymore helpful when it comes to after support/machanical support.
the 04 280 i had was superb, never had anything go wrong with it - brilliant.
-
Martyn537, would you be able to make a top crown for a Gasgas but instead of a seperate handlebar clamp have it all as one.... If you know what i mean
Hope made a few 'one off' sets for their sixdays bikes and dan thorpe and shirty have them. It brings the tapered bars back to the position of the 7/8 bar with out being too far forward.
If you know what i'm talking about, give us a price

1981 Kickstart i've probably got somewhere. The earliest event i got is 1980!
-
Dougie hardly beat Graham in the Schoolboy days apparantly. I have loads of the old Kickstarts from back in the 80's. The best were the pro/am as wayne said. he's on a few of those kickstarts!
-
I could get hold of a blue and polished Onza t-pro for you with maguras if you are interested. send us a PM if so.
-
... You want one dont you r2w

Just a thought....
James Dabill won the Junior WC and is now allowed to be promoted to the full world class.
Oliveras won the junior 125 class, so therefore allowed to be promoted to the junior!?
-
That Bosis 4rt has the big bore 280 kit fitted to it. Go on todotrial.com and theres an article on it. Doubt it will be a 280 for next year. somewhere in the write up, it says the bike is worth 12,000 euros Lenzi rides that bike aswell.
-
Webmonkey will come on soon to ad to this string
Hope Caby rides one next year because they are damn good.
-
the engines are actually really good its just the rest 6 months down the line they look like a bit of junk if you dont give them big TLC. engines on all of mine (apart from the 02 ) have been great. no rattles, f*** all.
-
Thanks to the trialscentral guys for a great night, I was minding the next day r2w so i gave your cooking a miss!!
I thought for the entrance fee, it was an absolute bargain! the riding was exceptional, organisation was superb, Woody hole & jack Burnicle commentating, brilliant. Loved seeing the factory bikes, they were all using that elf race fuel? nice! Colleys demos were fantastic especially when he rode over the skips with the front forks off!
-
Has'nt someone said that the monts are 286cc?.... Doubt it!
I was stood in section 5 when Freixa and fuji went through and when they set off up the first bank, the ground rumbled Also, the bore of the silencer was twice the size of a standard 4rt... awesome, loved the sound!
Did you see lampkin on section 5 on the 2nd lap!? wow.
