Fantic Parts
Well I don't know all of the fantic model #'s and they don't make much sense anyways !!! My 83 240 pro is a fm 450 and it only displace's a killer 212cc ... But it was the giant killer of it's DAY.!.!. So if you put in your bio where in the colony's you are , I'm sure someone local to you will chime in and lend a direction or help of sorts ...And have fun getting all the black spray paint off her , one of the two 240's I bought to build my rider had a really good camo paint job on everything but the red plastic tank ! (but I'm sure they tried!) Removing the old paint is 1/2 the fun of old bike restoration ! don'tcha know !!!! And I'm sure Steve or Lee will post what you have there . and parts will be easier to get for it than my 240, trust me on that.............. Glenn

240 Engine $
What is the general consensus of what a complete , rusty , unknown condition 240 pro motor may be worth ? I'm always looking to add to my pile of fantic parts !!!! And what other engine's can be massaged into a 240 frame ? since I have a spare frame I can modify !

200 4 Stroking
That works for me ! I've never had mine come loose , but that could definitely change the timing enough , Or cause the spark to be intermittent , to do what you described as the running condition of the bike ! Would it randomly be a witch to start to ? possible starter lever kickbacks ???? Sorry for the worst case Internet diag.................... Keep the FANTICS alive !!!! Glenn

Has The Practice Of Wheelie's Have A Place In Trial's.
IMHO wheelies are good to practice , as they add a whole new dimension to your bike control and balance talents , and in my own case in twinshock events , the properly placed stop , wheelie , and pivot can be the differance between a clean or a 3 or 5 ! As I am no pro on a late model lightweight ,discbraked , explosive powered bike , Feet up 180's or less are often the needed skill to make some turns in time to set yourself up for the next obstacle ! And I beleive Bernie Schriber stated ,The line your back wheel follows is more important than what your front does ! I personally try to plan my ride thru a section as to what line will be the best for my back tire ,ie traction and forward motion ! the rear is the driver , you can almost always change directions whether you can steer with the front or not !!!! Just my 2 pence... Glenn And as Kinnell stated , Raga does it, so it must have some merit !?

Way Too Cool
I just opened my mail and got a Factory fantic 240 brochure dated 11/81 , to go with the rest of my fantic paraphenalia ! But there is a photo on the back of it of the 7days version that I've seen before ... But the 240 with ski's and traks is just to much !!! Glenn

Falcon Shocks !
As my O.E. Marzocchi's? have truly lived out their useful life ! ( I have disassembled them and refilled ) . But I can't find seals anywhere on the planet ! I was wondering if anyone out here has used the falcon aluminum bodied shocks ? cause with shipping cost's I can get them for about the same as NJB Trikshoxs ,and the falcons have a larger shaft and are rebuild-able locally ! And I just received a set of the correct style of 200 triple clamps for my 240 . I was worried that I may have wasted my time on ebay , as I saw weekend before last at a event that some 200's have the same clamps as my 240 . But alas, the bloke 's photo on evilbay was of the set I got and the bar mounts are about a inch further forward ... I hope I can feel a difference, as I believe my 240 already steers quite well !!... Glenn
