Yeh you got me the front forks are Marzzochi had them lying around, and had heard about the problems with mono front hubs shattering and didnt want to pay for re-chroming of the genuine forks, anyway they are of a similar era as the rest of the bike and I think they look ok.

Almost done its taken ages due to things out of my control, just waiting for a rear silencer to finish it, dont know whether to keep it or sell it would be a shame to get it dirty after all the work thats been done.

Spare wise alone go with the TY

Its a mini majesty as the front down tubes are kinked in front of the engine, the yz clutch cover in shaped to go around the clutch and is then flat against the crank cases as there was no oil pump on a yz.

hub is aluminium, the brake plate is magnesium

Hi Im going to be rebuilding a Fantic 156 200 FM350 soon and was wondering what mods people are doing and recommend, it has a reaward kick start and will be used in clubman trials. It has not been used for years and needs a complete rebuild so I though I would incorporate any mods as I go, Im not bothered about it being original I just want something that rides well (with somebody else on).

Still need the fork staunchion I got one from sandiford offroad on e bay but its too short it seems the MH has some different parts to the cota 349. How long is it and do you want to sell it if its no good to you?

Hi Ive run my Montesa 248 at 50:1 with no problems modern oils are far better than when the bike were made, so you dont need 25:1

Yes the standard TY250 spindle fits the Godden frame it was about 1/2" to long so I machined a little of the end, this could done with a saw and file easily enough though

Has any body out there got a swing arm from a post white wonder 349, the one Im after is the same as the MH349 or mk3 with the bend in it nearly half way down. If I cant buy one it would be great if I could find the dimensions so I could copy it, thanks Mark

Hi dont believe everything you read about the new Betor shocks regarding Sammy Miller products website or adverts, they are the same as everybody else sells. I have had this on good authority. Good shocks though and a lot lighter than standard Betors

Hi I have just had a brain storm, the triangular silencer came from Hughs Bultaco in the USA it was the middle box hat came from Bultaco UK. I dont know if there is a difference between the two as I have since sold the bike.

Hi before you do anything Id just like to say I restored the same bike a while ago. I also fitted the same exhaust parts from Bultaco Uk, but the power and the way the bike ran after fitting was fine. I also fitted a Mikuni carb maybe this is the difference.
