  2. There are a couple of internet based ones- www.flashgames247.com for Bike Mania 1, Bike Mania 2 and Bike Mania on Ice and- www.miniclip.com for Trials Construction Yard, Trials Bike Pro, Trials Mountain Heights and possibly a few others. The flash games site is totally free. Miniclip offers trial versions and the full games are available to download for a few quid. Can you tell I have too much spare time at work! Hope that helps!

    Tuning/trick Bits

I will be getting a 08 270 pretty soonish. Just wondered if anyone knew of any tuning parts to give it a bit more grunt. Also any nice sparkly anodized bits would be appreciated as everyone likes a bit of bling. I have looked on the beta website and seen those bits but not sure how to get my hands on them, do british dealers stock them? Any info would be appreciated.
  5. It makes sense to always go against the flow, and therefore uphill, as it makes the section harder in much the same way that its a lot harder to go up a rock step instead of riding off the top of it!
  6. The only other sport I can think of where you don't know the results at the end of the day is enduro. Weird how its another motorbike sport! Any one think of any others?
  7. I've recently started doing some enduro's after 10 years of trials. Its a nice change and it offers its own challenges but it lacks the atmosphere of trials. Its only my first year of enduros but I have done all the north of england championship so far this year and I only know about 5 people. I can go to a local north east trial and theres probably only 5 people I don't know! I agree with some of the previous comments, i find it easy for me (not trying to blow my own trumpet) to regularly get into the top 5 or 6 in the expert class, but the other week I set the fastest time on the first timed special test, including championship riders, at the otterburn enduro and it was scary how fast I had to go. The worrying thing was I have never ridden a trials bike and thought 'bol**cks to it, I don't care what happens' but thats what it felt like while I was in that test. I guess a good point to enduros is that when you get back on your trials bike and your pointing it at a large rock you just think 'whats the worst that can happen?, i was doing 90mph along a forest road that suddenly ended with a ditch last week!' (stang enduro in the fog with steamed up goggles, not a good idea!!!) I havn't been on my trials bike for about 3 months and I can't wait to get back and do a local trial again, just waiting for the right trial to make my come back!

  9. You got the carb mod on it? that normally cures the problem. Also I have found that you should put a hotter heat range plug in, think I'm using BPR 7ES NGK, stops it oiling up all the time, and makes the bike rev out a lot better. Its a simple change that really does make a difference.
  10. That is Westonmea waterfall, it used to be in every year but it wasn't last year as I think they lost the land. Shame they lost it as it was a cracking section and very popular with spectators. It wasn't quite 100ft though! There are one or two big sections, (Thompson's falls waterfall, one or two in Harthope quarry) but the vast majority are rideable for clubmen. I know a lot of easy course riders that do it every year. It is advisable to get your entry in as soon as the regs are available, as early entry means late start, which is very important as most sections are only used once a year for this event.

  12. I don't think Sherco will be missing him at all. What I have been told is that the factory where disapointed with sherco enduro sales in the UK, and that they felt that MRS wern't doing enough to raise awareness of the sherco enduro bike. Surely Grimbo is doing that by concentrating on enduro for a while. Just look at his result at hell's gate, bet that got people interested in sherco enduro bikes!
  13. Does it have a proper gearbox? Can't work it out from the pictures.

    Hells Gate

Surely you could win that on a trials bike?
  15. Cheers andy, very much appreciated. Hopefully you have started a trend that will make all my efforts worth while!
  16. As you may or may not know I am training to run the Edinburgh Marathon in June to raise
  17. Well not really... But now that I have your attention... I'm currently training to run the Edinburgh Marathon in june, to raise
  18. Mine was traveling in between sections. Was in 6th gear on my old 92 Gas Gas and I thought it would be a good idea to jump off the top of a bank and land on the flat at the bottom. The bank was only about 10-15 foot high but for some reason I decided to roll the throttle off as I went off the top instead of accelerating off it. This therefore resulted in me flying through the air, steadily going over the handlebars mid-air, before landing in the bottom with the bike on top of me. I put my arm out to sheild the impact and ended up head-butting my arm with my nose, which broke! But i can probably say I am one of the few to break my arm with my own nose! I seem to recall lots and lots of blood, and my dad telling me to pull my nose back straight so it wouldn't heal bent to one side, which hurt more than actually breaking it!
  19. the best one i have heard is- "a wasp flew under my glasses and i couldn't see where i was going" you know who you are!!!
  20. Phoned up today and it is deffinitely on. Just thought I would let everyone know incase anyone else had any doubts. See everyone on Sunday/Monday then.
  21. I was thinking about coming down from Edinburgh this weekend for the two day trial at Rogerley Quarry. I know it hasnt been formally cancelled but can anyone verify that it is definitly taking place as train tickets are quite expensive. Thanks Kirk
  22. As this is about grip I felt I had to mention tyres! In my opinion the state of your rear tyre has far far more to do with grip than the bike. I agree that the Scorpa has great power delivery for finding grip, but how good would it be with a slightly worn back tyre compared to anything else that had a brand new one on. I practice and ride club trials on 'worn' tyres (i.e. they hardly have nobbles on them) for two reasons. One, I simply cant afford to replace a rear tyre every month and two it makes you learn how to find grip in muddy sections in an environment where it doesn't matter if you five. However, it is annoying when you cant get up something and then some little kid comes along with two brand new tyres on and flies up it. The point i am tryting to make is a new tyre makes a hell of a lot more difference to grip than the bike, although I do agree that the SY and Rev-3 are the best at finding grip. Just as a little sub-topic, could some one please explain to me how pouring some rubber into a tyre shaped mould can possibly cost
  23. oh yeah, remember that. so why you stop riding then? job? i'm not getting as much riding in as i would like since i started university and will probably get even less in when i start work. going to bollihope trial on sunday? i recommend it!
