Where To Order Yamaha Parts?
be very careful with pattern pistons, some need much more bore clearance. i have seen one seize up after a few minutes running, some seem to expand far more than genuine pistons.

Twinshock Prices?
I wonder if you would class my sprite as tricked up special,it has the original gas pipe quality frame, period bantam hubs, iron barrel engine. but it does have trick forks, for your information i bought these to replace the 60`s bultaco forks which were on the bike when i got it. the point being that competition bikes evolve down the years,if you want pure pre 65 must we all run cross ply tyres and wear belstaffs. come on get real, people are out there every sunday riding bikes and not giving a toss who has the "best"bike i suggest you do the same, and yes i have also been involved in running trials. you sir,are a trouble maker, you achieve nothing but p***ing off the people who actually get involved. from now on i refuse to read any post with your name on it

1970s Photographs
great pics, especially the KTM. i wonder if it would be possible to build a replica of this bike. i have done a little research and i understand that the base bike ktm used was a 250 GS enduro. there must be some of these still about,i suppose the biggest problem will be the barrel porting and the flywheel weight. If anyone has any thoughts on this i would be interested to hear them. now then, where do i find a 250 GS ???

As with all old rare bikes,we look at them through rose tinted spectacles,i remember riding one of these back in the day, it was BLOODY AWFUL compared with the bikes of the time,it did look and sound good though.- Acu Classic Championship
as usual woody is speaking from a position based on experience and knowledge,he puts forward his opinion but does not try to force it down peoples necks !! back to the question in hand, from my point of view the less than spectacular entries at miller rounds is due to cost and distance, last year i did the first 4 rounds,i then decided that i could`nt face the long drive, followed by a long trial ,followed by a long drive home, then an hour of bike washing. maybe i am just idle !! - Gobsmacked
