  1. the float height should be 16mm measured from the gasket face to the furthest part of the plastic floats make sure both sides are the same,adjust by bending the central tab - be gentle !!!!
  2. 38 is the correct pilot jet,we had the same problem with the engine cutting out,it was caused by low float height,we set it to 16mm and the problem went away.basically it was continually running the carb dry !!

  4. try your local classic club,someone will have a good knowledge of ty`s if not your local m`cycle repair shop,they will probably stiff you for £40+ per hour !! failing that I will help you out,but I am in the midlands.

  9. the beta 80 is heavier than the current 125 bikes,it is also higher at the seat and bars !! but it is very forgiving and easy to ride,at 14 your boy is in his second year of B class so I would go with the 125.my son is just 12 and is finding the 80 lacking in power. take a look at how hard you have to rev the 80

  14. whats wrong with a winning score of 61 ? an average of about 2 per attempt !! I remember world rounds regularly won on higher scores than that.

  19. here we are again,ready for a re run of last years world championship,or should I say the Bou show !! are we going to see any kind of coverage on uk tv ? last years coverage was a bit average but better than nowt.

    I used them a couple of years ago,top job and fast turnround.makes a change to get good service !!
  23. turn the choke off as soon as the bike will run without it if you leave it on you will oil the spark plug
  24. take your time and make sure you get the right bike for you,what others think is not important !
