    Oil, Oil, Oil

    Pj1 clutch tuner for me comes in a 1 litre bottle thats 2 changes! the gearbox only as 500ml of oil in it!
  3. Oil leak must be coming out of crank seal! Your crank main bearings are probaly on there way out!

  5. Looks a easy repair to me get casing welded stick a new kickstart gear in job sorted! Its got to work out cheaper than new casings!
  6. The selector mechanism is on the clutch side you will after remove the whole cover and have a look at the gear lever shaft & mechanism! All the mechanism does is turn the selector drum and select gear! Have a good look there must be something a miss in there! if you get stuck gives us a shout!
  7. The coil needs to be earthed by the wire with the loop that is normally earthed with the bolt that holds coil to the frame! Had the same problems as you before on my mates 04 270 ex dibbs bike! got a new stator and cdi from lampkins fiited stator first and still no spark! stuck cdi on and it fired up straight away! luckily lampkins let me bring stator back and just paid for cdi!
  8. Do the drilling mods to carb it sorted my fuel leak problem and stalling down hill problems straight away!
  9. There should be a bush in each hole and 2 round clips to hold bush to disc! I had to replace these on my old techno and with new ones fitted there is still a small amount of play as the discs are floating discs! hope this helps
  10. thanks betarick Ihave the main bearings out the ones im haveing problems with i the kick start shaft and gear saft bearings which cant bb prest out as the caseing is on the other side. thanks again .any ideas I have only changed main crank and gearbox bearings and selecter drum bearings i will have a look at a engine diagram and get back to you!

Dont mean to be funny t--t but did you split the crank and change your crank rod as these wear as much as main bearings! i once found out on my old 97 techno i rebuilt engine with new bearings and seals and piston! and after 3 hours of riding the crank rod siezed and fu--ed new crank bearings!
  12. Pipe looks good i bet it aint cheap! I wonder if there are any power gains or is it just lighter!
  13. Place casing on a piece of wood with the main bearings facing down crank side down remove crank seal and gently tap bearings out using a brass drift being carefull not to damage casing! YOU can also use a press for removing them and refiting new ones! i would also get your conrod changed while your there as these wear the same as main bearings!

  15. My cyl & head are back on top trial team style! I like the oas beta flywheel cover!

I like the black scheme of things on the 06 rev3 so i decided to remove my cyl+head and paint them like the top trial team black and while im there i will be changing the base gasket to the thinner factory one MODS SO FAR jitsie air filter air box drian fitted carb mods+jets & float bowl extension boyseen reeds platinum plug thinner cyl base gasket top trial team coloured cyl+head techno 99 black front mudguard
  17. Try removing gear lever and gently lever old seal out with a small screwdriver & gently tap new seal in with a socket!
  18. Had the same problem on my old 97 techno i changed both seals twice and they still leaked! in the end i had to change the fork stantion bushes!

  21. Cheers for letting us know Andy i have heard nothing and i live in silsden which as you know is below the moorside! I have lived here all my life 33 years and when i mention anything to any one including silsden council members they know nothing either! I think yeadon and guiseley club could do moor or are they only bothered about there club trials there next year when they get there 14 days back! Any way enough of the winge are you at brimham rocks tomorrow as i will be?
  22. What gearbox oil are you using and what is your clutch like! I would try changing gear oil first i use pj1 clutch tuner if this does sort problem i would then check your clutch plates as my brother add the same problem and it turned out to be one of is plates split!
  23. Anyone have any news on addingham moorside! I heard that the moor as now been open to cycle trials on the 14 day rule? Do the council think cycle trials is motorsport and what as happened to the pettion and all the letters we sent to mr fothergill!
