never use sealer on gaskets just grease to hold them in place! only time i have used sealer is on a ty crankcase where they have no gasket!

right i found some old rev3 stock handlebars and cut off 2" off the ends and stuck them on! it looks like these are too low! what did the orginal bars look like as im thinking they where much higher!

Hi anyone know where i can get handlebars for ty 80! cant seem to find anywhere on the internet and i take it they are a diferent bend for ty80! do renthal do them!

There are 2 grades of piston there should be A or B stamped on it! this is stamped on when manufactured depending on early or late production! as for cyl it will after be replated and bored to the size of piston! was told all this by lampkins when i got a old techno piston and cyl replated!

called in at lampkins today got new end & rubber ring + new packing al for 27 quid john said its melted end cause its got too hot when packing failed and packing as failed due to water getting in when washing bike so my fault! Even though i have washed bike loads of times and never had any bother!

Hi was wondering if you can buy siliencer in seperate bits! fired bike up today & noticed it sounded loud so i pulled siliencer off and apart to find all packing was just about gone & plastic end cap & rubber ring were melted! i only repacked it about a month ago using a beta preformed packing! as any one else had this problem? & why should it have melted end cap! i have changed packing plenty of times before and not come across this problem!

anyone one at brimham rocks today for mackenzie british champs? lampkin didnt ride and i heard he had a big off in practice anyone see it?

I had this problem with my beta! i changed pads fit new caliper seals and spent hours bleeding it! when going down hill it just faded when held on! it turned out to be master cyl piston seals even though i could not see any damage to them!

Help please! im still i need of someone to make me a template of tank bracket! would love to make bracket as close to orginal as possible

Change seals there only about 10 quid did both of mine today and only took about a hour and half! and you can leave stancions on bike if you get it high enough!

Best way to bleed rear brake i found was to remove rod from pedal and work by hand! you seem to get more rear master cyl piston movement and will empty reservoir with 1 stroke of piston so fill reservoir after every stroke! hope this helps

what they doing rebore and piston for a tenner? i find this hard to belive!

i looked at hub and it as yamaha markings cast into it!

Thanks guys looks like im looking for another rear hub then with 32 spokes! i wonder what my wheel is off as ty80 wheel bearings and seals fit also rim is same size 1.40 X 14 but with 36 spokes!

come on you ty80 owners how many spokes should they have on rear wheel!

Hi there folks i have just come across a problem when going to rebuild rear wheel with new spkokes and rim! the problem is do some ty 80s have a 32 spoke wheel and others have 36 spoke wheel? i have new rim and spokes whice are 32 and old hub which i have just repainted and fit new bearings and seals as 36 spokes! as anyone else come across this before cheers for any help!
