08 rev3 have had a set dodgy crank bearings fit from factory is what i heard! my brothers bearings failed doing the scott and also heard that a couple of john lampkins riders retired aswell doing the scott with the same problem? bearings need to be open race to get oil to them or they will fail again!

Yep they are floating discs! the discs are mounted on spacers that the bolt goes through? i remember having to change these on my old techno as discs rattled there are clips either side of disc to hold it to spacer! it as been known for bolts to come loose so loctite them! hope this helps.

Go for it have it done! i did mine and while your there new rings and small end bearing and thin base gasket! top trial team cyls where black?

Hi all again! fit new cyl seals tonight & bled system again and i have a front brake again! its that good i got finger ache and had to back lever off! cheers AIRFRUIT for the idea of tapping brake line while bleeding it as you say it gets rid of all the air left in system!

Just checked my front disc and it runs true removed pads cleaned pad pin and greased! had another go at bleeding brake using a syringe and back bled from caliper no air? and brake lever feels good til i ride down hill braking and it just goes again! if i release lever it comes back again until i brake again?

Hi all! i seem to have a problem with my front brake on my 06 rev3 one minute have a good solid front brake the next minute it just seems to go! and when holding front brake on down hill it just goes! if you pump it, it comes back and is solid again! i have changed caliper pistons and seals also fit new pads and bled system out! this seemed to fix it for a while until today when problem returned, should i change master cyl piston and seals? i took cly apart and could see no damage to seals or piston! anyone else had this problem?

im starting 2 wonder if beta went cheap on the 08 rev3! as my brothers siezed up doing the scott which was down to crank bearings? then you hear of gears letting go! end of model evo on its way?

Hi there! Can you help me with a ty80 fuel tank. The problem is i cant seem to find a decent tank that as mounting lug still attached to it! Im guessing that this was a common problem with tank! Has any one still have a tank with this still attached and would be willing to make me a template and take some pictures! As i have no option but to have a go and try and repair one of my tanks cheers in advance for any replys!

hi all im in need of some advice on what is the best fuel to oil mix for a ty80 that as had a total engine rebuild! Every bearing done ie gearbox,crank,new conrod,new piston,rebore,new clutch new seals the job lot and its cost me a small fortune? I have done away with oil pump and blanked hole off with a kit i bought from tytrials.co.uk. im now ready to run the bike for the first time and was wondering what fuel mix would be best to run engine in before my lad gets on it and kills it! Cheers for any help!

Hi folks just got my cylinder back from being bored out only to find i have only 3 head nuts? can anyone help me out!

IF your bikes been under water there are other bearings that will need changing like big end bearing and gearbox bearings? Why do half a job it makes my laugh that when crank bearings are shot people only think these are the only bearings that are shagged! they all wear at the same rate or in your case all have been under water! i know it cost alot more but why take the risk?

Ride for fun or compete, whats the deference as long as you enjoy it? each to there own i say. For me its hard to just have a good practice fun day with my mates as yeadon guisley took over our fun practice venue for there club trials! addingham moorside. Dont get me wrong i love competing but i never seem to get enough practice in then when it comes to doing a trial there seems to be 2 many ****ers with there heads up there own arses. And that puts me off doing more trials, at least with practicing you know where you are?

Telecat i bet you dont live in silsden and have for 34 years! I dont do any trials often i just love to get out and ride my bike for fun in a non competive way! And to see my local practice ground taken over by a club that aint nowt to do with silsden! just pays mr fothergill for the right to use is land is a p*** take?

Well stiil no news on when yeadon & guisley club are having any practice days on addingham moorside or as we call it the nab! i heard a rumour that they had been given 28 days this year? is this true all they same to be botherd about is there own trials there and loaning land to every other club! seems to me that its f--k everyone else who wants to ride on there own doorstep!

Hi there folks anyone know a good source for a new front wheel rim! im struggling to find one as they are no longer available from yamaha. I managed to get front + rear spokes & rear rim from jk hirsts.but no joy finding front rim!

Whos put there name down for 1? when i asked the missus she just laughed so i take it thats a no! i can dream. anyone got any pics of it yet?

noise on bottomn end is either crank bearings or big end! when splitting cases do the job lot that means splitting the crank as well as doing main bearings! the big end wears at the same rate as the mains! these are a easy job if you have a press and some vee blocks and dial gauges! or just send me the crank i will do it for a small price! a lot of people just do the mains and not the big end this half a job as the big end wears as well and will probaly knacker your new main bearings up!

Last year when i rode the grand national or should i say pulled my bike out of bogs for a few hours the start times or the entrys where not published! i only found i had a entry when i turned up on the day you could always contact ilkley dmc!

Visit My WebsiteHi there just finished getting frame ready for painting and i found some grind marks on frame under seat it looks like the braket that exhaust mounts to as been removed for some reason? can anyone whip there seat off and take a picture of bracket or give us some dimensions of braket as i have nothing to go off when making a new one any help would be great as im pretty much knackered at the mo!
