  1. plymouth windings can do the primary, let me know what they say about the trigger. If all your readings are ok, the the ht coil is probably bu((ered. A ducation coils can be made to fit and is available from steve goode. use this diagramm lee
  2. it looks like a 95 section. might be 96 also, both had steel frames. It came as a 125cc also, although FM 364 sound like a 250. look on the top of the engine cases behind the kickstart. Most early Fantics had the cc stamped there! lee all the plastic parts are available in uk at bill pyes or here at peter schwarz. not cheap but ok. A used muffler would be about 50 euros pls post but i can post a pick in mine...just make one.
  3. Green to black is the trigger and should be about 40-60 ohms. red to black is primary and should be 500-700 ohms. Black to ground is zero cos its earth. Yellow to black is 12V when the engine runs! let us know your readings. I can get primary rewould, triggers are availble new from France for 95 euros each! lee
  4. 300 quid sounds about right but beware an engine rebulid will eat another 500! Bill Pye has lots of spares, I have a few too!!! ;-) if the engine is sound, try it. i
  5. Steve Goode may be able to help you with a KRC one. They make em for Mont 4Rts, shercos, gas gas and the scorpa. Price is around 100 quid including vat! lee
  6. All forward kick fantic motors will fit. I have a 301 and a303 engined 300. A 305/7/9 will also fit but is the reed valve bit in the spirtit of things? I have a 301 motor but 1) I have it here in germany and 2) it has a slight top end rattle anyway.... A 301 Top end will fit on the 300 bottom end but a 300 top end will not fit on a 301 bottom end....cos of the flywheel size and the cutout for it. If you get a barrel plated anywhere, send them the piston (300 through 303 pistons are all the same). The plater will match the barrel clearance to the piston, usually 0.04-0.05mm Pistons are available from Billy Pye or maybe Steeve Goode but expect to pay 130 quid at least plus about the same for the plating. I know you wont want to here this but a new piston and bore might knock out the mains and big end of your motor quite quickly so think about a complete rebuild maybe.... Lee
  7. This is a 97 section This is a 95 The eclectrics are the same for both. Yellow cable is +12volts to ground for the power of lights fan etc. then there is green (verde), white (blanco) and red (rosso). One goes ca, 80 ohms to ground, one goes 800 ohms to ground and the last iss zeor ohms to ground as it IS ground!!! The 80 ohms is the trigger coil. The 800 is the primary or low tension coil. Thge primary is rewoundable the trigger is not. Spares are quite easy to get in YURUP, pm me if you need help, I have some also hope this helps lee elschema.pdf

    240 Engine $

Hi Glenn, I would pay abot 125 euros max for a broken engine if it was complete. Its worth it for the ignition and clutch basket (which likes to loose teeth). If the kickstart shaft is ok then its sort of a bonus...if i rebuild a front kick engine I like to put a later shaft in anyway...no o-ring groove and no weak point. Also the drive dogs on second gear wear which causes a 5 when it jumps out in a section . (Dont I know it!!!) A busted engine is also good for the flywheel cover which we like to crack and maybe the barrel if it is replated to allow us to break some fins.... , although they are weldable. I have a runner here which I will sell in evil bay as do I have a 301. I expect to get about 400-450 euros for each. All forward kick engines will fit with some mods to the frame, hammer flat or cut as you like. Its personal choice. The flywheel protector bar will have to be removed in any case. A section motor would fit but where ewould you put the rad..... I would also recommend putting a top mount onto it to stiffen up the headstock...I posted some pictures previously. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....c=10715&hl= All I need to do is find the time now to finish my 303 engined 340....jersey is coming up sooooon.! Lee
  9. where did you here about her move to scorpa? I just checked her website and there is nothing about it. Her Dad, Willie, also rides a gasgas in selected events so the move suprises me http://www.trial-iris.de/
  10. jap people dont need to do that because of the souschi...its the kaizen method for self cleaning. It also means they can take more risk in indoor trials knowing they dont have to clean their bottoms if they break both wrists. look at Fuji.... LOL Lee
  11. no it wont fit. the ty twinshocks had a dt250/400 clutch. The monos were from an sr! Can I buy iz for my twinshock???? lee
  12. Here in germany they remove the restrictor in the front and middlebox and weld a 1mm stainless steel mesh in the rear restricter with very good (noise) results for the std system. And yes the WES is quieter and note such a sharp note.WES did do two versions; a smooth with low noise and a straight which was louder. The straight failed a noise test here in germany and he now only makes the smooth version. There are dyno test results on the to do trial side for the smooth version which show it makes more power and gives a 1000rpm wider power range. Lee
  13. auch! or are you punk...... i never did understand these youngsters and all their piercings......
  14. nice bike.... is it a godden frame or a modded ty? i have an old ty 250 which i will take the angle grinder to one day...relocate shocks tec. do you ride it in anger? Lee
  15. buy one from steve goode, they are not expensive Lee
  16. ......but is a hydraulic clutch " in the spirit of twinshock trials"? Or do you just ride for fun....... i think we
  17. actually the minarellis can be moded in the same way. add a chain link, (one side) fixed with a 3mm nut and bolt. Put one on the clutch actuation arm that goes under the flywheel cover. A really slick action comes if you raise the cable fixing on the top of the motor also. If you use a 428 link, I think that is best. If you use a 520 link the clutch is even lighter but for me too long! lee
  18. I run atf also, but if your clutch slips, think about new plates. Steve boy goode is good if yer know what I mean? Is the tlr a reflex or a puka trials bike? Up for a swap? lee
  19. http://cgi.ebay.fr/vent-moteur-250-fantic-...1QQcmdZViewItem try that...no idea about condition my french is not good
  20. Yeah, I have a 95 section also, the alu frame is much thicker at the seat mount and the rectifier id bolted somewhere at the front. But thanks for the reply and quick pictzure PS there is a section motor for sale on ebay france for 350 euros which is abot 240 quid!
  21. I took my recently aquired 97 section apart today as it was transported in a box. There was a real mess of cables under the tank and the electrics were all over the place. Anybody tell me where the HT coil and the rest of the electrics belong as std? Can you post a picture? Lee
  22. do ou mean do I wear an Mono, or Ware a mono or were a mono or where or wier or weir or wir NO
  23. yeah long wet and slippery climbs are bestest, (nothing to do with Monos before or after a trial). Streams are also a laff as we aint got none...the green politicians over here. The exmoor three day is my fav although theres only a few climbs and lotsa water.
  24. here are some picticcies of the tank I got with my 97 section. I since found out that peter schwarz, ex fantic inporter in germany still has 4 left. They are made from welded aluminium and will cost 40euros just so he can move them on!!! let me know if anyone is interested. I can translate or order for you lee
