Kings norton mca aston auto cups trial 16th november , this is a round of the midland centre championship. regs are available on midland centre web site www.midlandcentreacu.org.uk . entries close on monday 10th november although late entries will still be taken at the start at extra cost. The aston auto is a on the road trial starting from the blue bell cider house B94 6BP and takes in sections in the earlswood and henley in arden area , two routes suitable for experts inters clubmen and over 40s. there will also be an off road event for youths taking place at one of the groups of sections.. any further details are available from martin taylor 0121 453 5144

any one seen any results from last satudays club trial ? nothing in the post , tmx or club web site ,usually they are on the ball with results. anyway it was a good trial at a good venue unfortunatly poorly suported by riders considering the effort that went in to putting the event on.

looking at it , it takes a bit of getting used to after the rev3. i think that the radiator filler cap looks a bit vunerable to damage ,sticking out like it does compared to the rev 3 that was a pain in the a*** to get to. same crap footrests, front mudguard looks like the fork brace has become part of it ,just hope its stronger than the current front mudguards that are quite btittle [and expensive]. well my lads keen on one to replace his 08 125 rev 3 , will just have to wait and see how much they are .

at a quick glance looks very similar to a rev 80 type frame !!!!!!!!

used iris chains for a few years on the lads bike with no problems ,fitted one to my gasser and had it snap within the 1st hours riding. told by bvm that it was from a dodgy heat treated batch. never trusted one since. currently using an izumi chain [available with half links] seems good so far.

hi , has anyone tried a v force reed block on an 08 beta? any jetting changes needed? i have a v force from a 07 sherco to try , so was looking for any tips on set up

maybe the importer gave out some bum info on how to set the float level in the first place?

thanks paul w for the sensible reply, i agree with you a 5 rated plug would be better in the winter as it runs hotter. as stated before my bike came with a br7es and a change to a br5es i can understand but where does the bp5es come in ? have compared a b5es and a bp5es and the bp has a longer tip to it [longer projection obviously the "p" bit in the plug number] do these run hotter than a b5es? bike runs ok on the br7es but just looking to get the best from it

what plug should i be using ? bike came with a ngk br7es .

guys what fuel mixture are you running? noticed on the beta uk website that they recommend using 70:1 mix using semi syntetic oil and not to use super unleaded

fantastic night , with some unbeleavable riding ,as atomant says bou on the cotton reel section reversed was the best riding i had ever seen , made it look so simple. (what sort of secions does he try in practice?) good to see dougie riding like we know he can , top performances from all the riders ,though man of the night for me was the mighty atom. gave every section 100% just a shame the beta was running poorly. only downside to the whole night was once again the promised big screen failed to appear. well done to all involved in putting the show on , even my wife enjoyed it. cant wait for the next one

got to agree with you guys ,the atom was the rider of the night for me, stunning ride on the log section( section 3) with the beta running like a bag of ****e,how he held his nerve i dont know, WELL DONE ATOM TOP MAN!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone tried the 08 125's yet ? whats the most improved in your opinion.is the gasser still top dog!!!! intrested to hear your comments.

yes bought a 26mm one. will let you know how i get on with it.

has any one tried any other carb on a 330? the amal carb on mine is well worn and although i know i can get a new replacement amal would somthing more up to date work any better ? eg mikuni or a dellorto, any one have any ideas or sugestions

water leaking from the drilled hole in front of the waterpump is a sign that the pump seals are on there way out.

have bought a repacement gearbox sprocket for my montesa, only problem is it has no keyway like the original has. this one was made by talon ,question is will it work ok just held on the taper, iam concerned it could spin or slip on the shaft and wreck it. anyone tried one cheers guys

hi todotrial,love the 330 in the picture, any chance of some more details of the mods done to it , looks like the carb has been changed and the footrests repositioned. great looking bike.hope to get mine looking something like that.

hi pete , have never been to this venue before and was wondering how far the sections are from where you park your vehicles, only asking because my dad may come along to watch or maybe observe and cant walk too far at the moment. also do you have any idea of which events count towards the mid youth champs? i havent seen a list anywere. so far have done to my knowledge 2 rounds ,leamington and dudley. see you sunday dave

sounds like the kings norton group trial to me as well, 2nd group is a steep wooded bank called clifton woods which are near impossible when the conditions are bad. trial is on 11th march and regs are in tmx at the moment.

looking on bewdley mcc web site tomorrows group trial has been cancelled due to the snow
