  1. So I just went an took another look, and realized that I could swap the aluminum tube that the peg pivots on. The ones in the stock pegs are visibly longer than the Jitsie ones, so using those prevents any compression of the hangers.
  2. Does anyone have the S3 Hard Rock pegs (I'm looking at the aluminum ones in particular, but for this question it probably doesn't much matter)? I currently have Jitsie pegs, and I've realized that there's a pretty substantial gap between the sides of the peg hangers and the pegs themselves, which means that, aside from the pegs moving a bit, when tightening up the peg bolt it puts a lot of stress on the hanger. This is unlike the stock pegs where they fit very snugly in the hanger bracket. I'm curious if the S3 pegs are more accurately machined such that they fit better than the Jitsie's do. I may try to fashion a shim (i.e. a sanded down washer) in the meantime.

  4. They definitely aren't like Gaerne's. They're really more like No Stops with replaceable soles, a slightly smaller toe box, and a little more padding. I'd say they're a little more compliant in the sole compared to the NoStops, but not by much if at all. Which is fine by me, I prefer that to the Gaerne's.
  5. Stock, yes. As for the geometry, it's what I didn't like. The front just felt too steep to me. But this is all preference, and I'm sure I could learn to love it and even prefer it with time on the bike. The problem is I don't really want to have to come to grips with new geometry every time I change bikes, so I just decided to stick with what works. But it does look fantastically put together, I don't imagine anyone is unhappy with theirs.
  6. If you tighten the bolt and then the nut, the lever will bind up. As above, tighten the bolt but then back it out a turn or so (you'll get the idea and can adjust as needed), then tighten the nut.

  8. You can now get a TRS with a Reiger... for an additional $1000.00. I think the Olle is fine for most people, but the reality is that people want purple shocks. There's also a Keihin kit, although I don't think it's a factory option yet. I suspect the TRS will come standard with the Reiger and Keihin after 2017. Anyway, neither of these things were on my mind when I was considering the TRS, I just found that the steering geometry wasn't really what I like. It feels very upright, sort of Beta-ish I guess. But the bike is really well put together and designed.

  10. Any hand/foot pump is fine. You need a low pressure gauge.

    From what I've read even all the preproduction trs's are still going strong. I don't expect you'd have any issues. As for the clutch, a lot of us are running modified GG clutches, so the pull is incredibly light. The stock TRS is definitely heavier, but it can be reduced by a little sanding of the Bellville spring.
  17. I use the same linkage guard. There's no need to remove the rubber absorbers.
  18. I've got 100 hours on my jitsie pegs. I've never had a big crash on them so I can't say how strong they are, and I've never had any reason to replace any of the pins. They're nice and wide, very comfortable.
  19. Sounds like too lean on the air screw from the way you describe it, but diagnosing noises over the internet isn't exactly an exact science.

  22. It'll definitely be interesting to see how a recent world level trials rider fares in hard enduro. Jarvis is still the benchmark.

  24. Every trials clutch, bar the odd unicorn, drags to some extent. Do the clutch mod as suggested... the Surflex clutch plates are fine, but they're just as bad in terms of glue spread all over the place as the stock clutch plates, so you'll want to clean them up as well. ARC (https://www.arclevers.com/) sells levers for just about everything.
