  1. So I notice that the vertigo titanium model has the same markings on the forks that raga has on the ones that he uses (I'm assuming they're tech forks) . Anyone know what's special about those particular forks? I'd guess they're the best thing they produce of raga uses them.
  2. Whatever it was, bou figured out how to play the game. I wouldn't think it was tight no stop checking though, otherwise raga et al would have gotten their act together after the first lap. I'd guess it was just some massive obstacles that bou dominated. Anyone see the event (or find some YouTube video?)
  3. Out of curiosity, what does oily coolant look like?
  4. Bou scored a 4. Dabill was second on 35 marks. That's insanity.
  5. Ride each when you feel like it. Or just take the trials bike to the top of the steepest hill you can find and try to roll down it without dying... that's usually good for some adrenaline.

I don't think it's over priced given the build and the technology. But whether anyone will want to pay that much is a completely different story.

That's funny... they still won't let the dealer near me (in the US) even sell the 2016 he has.
  8. Lui è certamente una persona incredibile. He speaks four languages that I'm aware of... Spanish, English, Italian and French. Did I miss any?

  10. Sure, because who wouldn't want to get wet and frozen in Scotland when they could be catching a tan somewhere in the vicinity of the Mediterranean

I wonder if someone just left the tank cap loose... Watch right at the end before Adam starts the bike up again... he's at least checking the cap. Hard to say otherwise though. In any case he starts it back up and rides off, which I don't think he'd have done had there been some continued threat of a towering inferno
  12. Wait, what? Is this the FIM equivalent of no-stop in according championship honors? How the hell is the 125 champion not the 125 world champion??? The entire point of having a multi-class championship is to award honors in those classes. Ask Valentino how many world championships he's won and he'll be damn sure to remind you it's 9, which includes one in 125 and one in 250.

Yeah, that's kinda on fire... 5!

    Link?
  15. Your pressure is fine. Feel free to run 3 psi in the mud, but it's all technique.
  16. My set has over 100 hours on it. All rock riding. Trials tires are so sticky, especially at clubman level I just don't see any reason to replace them much. It's not like a knobby where all your grip is from the knob/edge. I'll probably replace mine at the end of this season in another 50-100 hours.

    Three years! It's almost presidential...
  18. The factory montesa is the most worked over trials bike in the world round competitions.

I can't really see him going anywhere else provided TRS wants to continue with him (and why wouldn't they... they're not going to get anyone else that can run Bou so closely). I'd have to think he'd be a little wary of going back to GG if they were interested and had the budget, and who else is going to want to pay him?
  20. I'd just never considered a 4 stroke before, so I know nothing about the Mont. That changed, if only a little, when I rode a dealer friends... although his was actually built by Bou's mechanic. He showed me the parts bag the guy took off the bike... it's basically every nut and bolt that comes standard on it plus a bunch of other stuff I didn't immediately recognize. Anyway, that bike is unobtanium, but it was a great ride and it sounded fantastic. So I asked how it compares to another local guy's 300rr, and it basically boiled down to weight, and a lot of it. He said even pushing it around it's noticeable how much heavier it is. In any case, the build quality interests me enough to consider it, but the TRS also looks pretty well put together with a lot of thought to maintenance, so it might be easier (and cheaper) to just stick with a 2 stroke.
  21. Yeah, I know Honda own the company, but that doesn't necessarily mean they do any engineering or manufacturing related to the bike. But it sounds like they do... I might be into one just to get something to bolts don't constantly strip out on.
  22. Out of curiosity (and the fact that I've broken more bolts on the GasGas) is the Montesa built from the same parts bin the rest of the manufacturers use? Or are they actually sourcing higher quality parts from different vendors? I'm not clear on how much manufacturing, if any, Honda does directly for this bike.

If it's cheap and fun, looks good to me.
  24. You might want to talk to all the other trials clubs that already exist and have large contingents in the US first... http://www.trialsclubs.us/
  25. This is in US dollars, but you can probably find a price list in pounds easily enough (or just do a rough conversion): http://langcourtperformance.com/price-list/
