Nothing to pay in Bangor, but that was rocks and seafront, not a proper motorsport venue with all the costs associated in hiring such a place. Also, Northern Ireland are VERY keen to attract people given the past there so there will have been considerable government funding to support the event and bring tourism in. Personally, I had a ball and thought it was a great venue. Two great days of photographing and this hazy bit in between that I can't quite remember

I'll leave it to StuartC or Ishy to tell you how much it costs to put on one of these things, but it ain't cheap. Personally, I think the prices are damned good value for a day of watching the world's best. It's cheaper than Sheffield and you're much closer to the action. Last year I paid half the price of the Hawkstone weekend ticket just to watch rich gits fly their Ferrari's and Lambourghinis round a track for 3 hours. I wouldn't have minded, but none of them even crashed Also, if it helps ensure the future of a British World Round then they get my money.

Can you quantify that statement? Not saying you're wrong, just I don't like people slagging off the folk who go to the bother of organising events unless they can justify what they're saying - and hopefully put something constructive in to!

It's sad to lose Lagnaha which had become legendary as "Scottish Monday", but this will definitely be a good spectator group too, based on what I saw at the British Championship Round last year. Yes, it's a heavy walk up the hill, but easy parking at the bottom. The good part is once you're up, the walk between sections shouldn't be as bad as it was at Lagnaha (unless there are parts unknown that weren't in the Brit Champ!)

Overthehill is right, there are some cracking sections up there (but then I'd expect him to be right, he is CoC!) Kinell, it's not to late to withdraw your entry, y'know. For spectators, it's a fair old walk up the hill, but worth it - especially for those taking photos. The view down the Loch is awesome.

HRC is sort of right. A test day would be great and I can think of some dealers that would buy into it straight away. However, the site is growing massively and with a "real life" job and some family stuff going on, I'm struggling to stay on top as it is without adding anything new! (Although there will be at least one new feature added in the next week!) I have already got some help with r2w now helping to look after the forums and I'm looking at some other offers of help with the rest of the site which would leave me more much-needed time to look at ongoing development and future growth so don't rule it out. It just can't happen right now.

How many times have you seen it? A numpty sitting in the oustide lane doing 55 in a 70 limit with nothing on the inside apart from the distant speck of an HGV a mile in the distance. (The M1 is particularly bad for this). Should I sit behind said numpty also doing 55? I've driven in the US where overtaking is allowed in any lane and it works. You're not held up by aforementioned numpties and traffic flows more freely as nobody is held up by those chosing to drive selfishly. As long as you know to expect it, it's fine. We wouldn't have half the congestion we do if people returned to the left after overtaking.

Don't get me started on this one. The whole middle lane/ outside lane thing really p****s me off. "Oooh - there'a truck in the inside 3 miles away, I'll just pull out now so I don't lose my place - even though the truck is doing 56mph and I'm only doing 57 in a 70 limit". I don't flash. You inevitably just get rude gestures back as they can't see they'e doing anything wrong. Now I just undertake and sod it (For the Americans who can overtake in any lane, undertaking is still technically illegal in the UK). If I get done then they have to get done too for driving without due care and arttention. And don't even go near my thoughts on ****wits who drive with their front fog lights on because it looks cool. It dazzles. End of story. Especially if roads are wet. Suffice to say I own the domain stupiddrivers.co.uk - One day I'll get round to doing something with it.
