Just saw your message one minute after you posted - cheers.
GNCC was good after it too.
Know what you mean about the sound. My wife who can take or leave bikes even said, it ruins it without the engine noises.

That rock had no kicker the way I rode it. No way I was jumping from that far back

Please Please Please re-think - or at least make sure you're definite - I gotta admit I think it's the wrong choice.
Keep hold of the TLR - I would love one, but that's not influencing my decision that much.
Any of those that you buy will depreciate to next to nothing within a few years. The TLR will still be up there, and will still give you as much fun in 3 years.
If you can, save a little and buy a mono in a year.
That's coming from a full time mono rider, not someone who can only see the value in classics.
P.S. What area are you in? I wouldn't like to crush your TLR, but there's always a possibility you could try my Sherco if you're around our neck of the woods.

I've got an Epson Stylus Photo RX520 which does slides (has an attachment for them).
I've been searching for the odd ones that we did do for someone over a year ago, but struggling to find them, although the results seemed pretty good at the time.
If you've got a worthless one you'd like to mail to me, I can scan and show you the quality. Probably more effort than you're worried about going to, but the offer's there if you get to that point, let me know and i could mail you my address.
In fact, if it turned out successful, i don't mind doing them all for you, but i didn't notice where you are.

Acchhhh - I really don't know how he compares to the other two - I've not seen much of them, my comments were just what I repeated from people's comments today
Put it this way, if he doesn't manage to get to the top in trials, he may like to try his hand at Enduro, particularly the more extreme ones.
-
Over the top for definite. I'm trying to picture how low it would be underneath, but I'm thinking it would leave it right in the way to get bashed.
-
I didn't make it to Sheffield, but speaking with a group of lads today, they said they couldn't believe how good he was at Sheffield. They reckoned the results didn't show what they saw in the arena. Something special there, they were saying.
This year should be a big one for him.
Lets watch out for the press this week - now Knighter won the event fair and square, but if I had to write a headline, there's only one bloke who would be in it - Browny. Made my day today and a lot of other people too.
I reckon there's a space in the market for a hybrid trials/enduro bike for these extreme enduro's. What's the Scorpa T ride like? I heard there was one there today, but I never saw it. What happened to it?
I noticed there was a mixture of trials and enduro tyres too. The trials tyres seemed much more suited to todays event.
-
The Expert race was dominated by one thing: The Atom.
As he'd won the trials event and put up a time that they weren't sure anybody in the Expert Enduro event was going to beat, they put up a challenge for Browny. If he could ride the first hour of the event and stay out in front he'd take a

I'll check the trophy cabinet
Looks like a nice 'un. 6 years missing, hope you manage to find it. Not any use to anyone, so hopefully it will work its way out of the woodwork.

What would be the most likely thing to happen? I'm thinking Ducati would buy the designs and rights to the enduro machines, and rebadge them as Ducati's? Then GasGas would be free to continue manufacturing the trials bike with the money?
I don't know how much the investment was from the financial crew a few years ago, hopefully not so much that there's be nothing left once Ducati bought them out?
-
It mentions that GasGas may be looking to sell all or part of the company. Would Ducati really want the trials market? I doubt they could really expect to support them fully in their dealerships. Wouldn't be surprised if GasGas are looking to raise some cash that they sell off the Enduro side of the company and they might actually be able to finish their side valve job?
Dunno - just a thought.

I've posted this before but here's what i did:
Soaked the silencer in fuel, for an hour or two. Put the silencer in the middle of a large patio area, carefully at arms reach, applied a blow torch to the end of it. Burns like wild fire for 20 or 30 seconds, then dies down to a small flame.
At this point I blast it with a compressor to provide the oxygen, swapping ends now and then. It turns in to a blue flame and sounds like a jet engine. Kept this up as long as i could keep it burning for.
I repeated the whole process MAKING SURE IT WAS ALL COOL BEFORE APPLYING MORE FUEL. (next day in my case).
It's been clean as a whistle since.
I know I said I've done this twice so it sounds like it's really temporary, but one of them was a second hand one off a 125 which was full of oil when i bought it (after I bent mine beyond easy repair).
Errrrr.....needless to say - safety warning here, creating a jet engine is probably not entirely safe - use a good sturdy pair of sandles

Also try the carb inlet filter, make sure it's not clogged - where the pipe goes from the tank to the carb, take the 10mm bolt off the carb and clean the gauze filter inside.
-
What sort of price are they Hilly?

Have a look down this link. That is apparently a WSK. Looks like this may be the Polish Steve Colley:

Get a compressor on your wish list Ed. You'll wonder how you ever did without it. Not only can you blow your carb out, but swap your own tyres over, spraying jobs, car tyres, power tools, sealing the garden decking, blowing up inflatable beds/footballs, and even creating a jacuzzi for the kids in the swimming pool (not the most useful one but a good laugh)
Don't need a big one for most jobs.
See you next week.

Looks like there was. Russians came last (17th) in the 1991 TDN and looks like they were all riding Voshow's.
I've never heard of them before.
-
Is the plug wet when you take it out?
Are both your floats empty (just wondering if you cracked one. I know really stoopid question, but you put them in the right way up?).
Does the fuel stop when you simulate the floats rising and cutting the fuel off?
You got anyone you can swap carbs with?
And did you use a compressor to blow the carb out. Have to admit it sounds more like starvation/jetting than flooding.

Just had 2 full days out on the hills. Raining most the time, we have waterproofs down here
(and webbed feet but we won't dwell on that point)

Sorry blatant spamming, just hoping everyone's seen it.

Dave James is phoning around (Clive Club) - they've had to cancel the trial on Sunday due to land problem. Nothing serious for the future, but I think a short term problem with livestock.

Not sure unless it's part of the course used in the Welsh trophy? Not as old as you Woody
